New Zealand's underworld of organised crime and deadly gangs

'The best true-crime book of the year by a long stretch.'- Steve Braunias, Newsroom
'A series of rip-snorting yarns about gangs, drugs, fancy cars, wads of cash, violence, and guns - Aotearoa New Zealand style.'
    - Simon Bridges
New Zealand is now one of the most lucrative illicit drug markets in the world. Organised crime is about making money. It's a business. But over the past 20 years, the dealers have graduated from motorcycle gangs to Asian crime syndicates and now the most dangerous drug lords in the world - the Mexican cartels.
In Gangland, award-winning investigative reporter Jared Savage shines a light into New Zealand's rising underworld of organised crime and violent gangs.
The brutal execution of a husband-and-wife; the undercover cop who infiltrated a casino VIP lounge; the midnight fishing trip which led to the country's biggest cocaine bust; the gangster who shot his best friend in a motorcycle shop: these stories go behind the headlines and open the door to an invisible world - a world where millions of dollars are made, life is cheap, and allegiances change like the flick of a switch.

Bobby Vinton, “The Most Successful Unknown,” says he never wanted to be a musician; he wanted to be a football player instead. In fact, his parents would bribe him 25 cents an hour just to get him to practice his clarinet. Vinton sat down with Wink Martindale in 1973 to discuss his success with “Blue on Blue” and the story behind “Roses are Red.” He says writing songs is difficult and he isn’t sure who is buying his albums. Vinton also discusses putting together a pop music band in high school and how he began his acting career.

Like a thumbprint, personality type provides an instant snapshot of a person's uniqueness. Drawing on concepts originated by Carl Jung, this audiobook distinguishes four categories of personality styles and shows how these qualities determine the way you perceive the world and come to conclusions about what you've seen. It then explains what they mean for your success in school, at a job, in a career, and in your personal relationships. For more than 60 years, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) tool has been the most widely used instrument in the world for determining personality type, and for more than 25 years, Gifts Differing has been the preeminent source for understanding it.

The following topics are included in this 3-book combo:

Book 1: What causes someone to have Borderline Personality Disorder? Well, the opinions vary, and each person’s life is different, but to point you in the right direction, we’ll discuss some patterns and common life events and traumas that can contribute to it.

Aside from this, we’ll discuss the big question that has often been thrown out there: Is the disorder mostly a feminine disorder or does it happen to men as well? The differences between Borderline and Bipolar Disorder will be indicated also, since many people are confused about those differences.

Last but not least, we’ll go into specific diagnosis criteria, and the truths and myths about “curing” the disorder with lots of love and pure attention.

Book 2: In this guide, the first thing we’ll point out is how difficult it is to go through life with a mother or father who has Borderline Personality Disorder. We’ll do this by giving multiple examples and discussing them.

Second, we’ll touch on anticipatory anxiety and social problems that people with the disorder may have, and the question of whether to openly talk about the disorder with the patients.

Third, the matter of attachment will be discussed elaborately, mostly because this is exactly the entire problem that those with traumas and disorders are often being confronted with. We all develop healthy or unhealthy attachments in our youth and form bonds with our family, friends, things, locations, cultural habits, etc. When something goes wrong with the attachment, it messes people up, and it can have dire effects.

What are the bounds of thought? And how do we know if an idea is completely insane, or just a paradigm change?
In this book we explore Insanity, Crazy, Strange, and Disruptive ideas, and just some thoughts and stories.
And what are disruptive ideas or ideas which break currently accepted paradigms?
My goal is for you the reader to expand your minds to think “Outside of the Box” and not immediately condemn or make fun of new ideas just because they sound weird or wacky. Who knows? These new ideas might actually change the world for the better.
