Sinopse

In "The Hidden Power," Thomas Troward explores the intricate interplay between the mind and the universal laws that govern existence. Written in a style that seamlessly blends metaphysical thought with practical wisdom, this seminal work articulates Troward's foundational ideas on the creative potential inherent in human consciousness. Drawing on influences from New Thought philosophy and Victorian spiritualism, Troward employs a didactic tone to elucidate concepts such as visualization, affirmation, and the power of belief, inviting readers to unlock their inherent abilities and reshape their realities through focused intention. Thomas Troward, a pivotal figure in the New Thought movement, was deeply influenced by his background in law and his extensive studies in Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. His experiences in colonial India and exposure to diverse cultural perspectives informed his understanding of the mind's capabilities and the laws of attraction. Troward's unique synthesis of rationalism and spirituality in "The Hidden Power" reflects his quest to empower individuals to transcend limitations and harness their latent potential. This book is highly recommended for those interested in self-improvement, spirituality, and the intersection of psychology and metaphysics. Troward's insights continue to resonate, offering timeless guidance for readers seeking transformation and a deeper understanding of their creative powers.

Do you ever feel like you’re pretending? Do you ever feel like the “real you” is concealed by the disguise you wear every day? Do you even know who the real you is?   Many of us feel confused about who we are and what God created us to be. We go through the motions, doing what’s expected of us, but we feel lost, empty, or just a deep-down sense that there must be more out there for us. We have never taken the time to—or been allowed to—find out who we are at our core. Often, it’s not easy to understand who you are at your core. Sometimes, you have to fight for it.   In The Fight to Find Yourself, Pastor Joel Tudman pairs biblical content, practical teaching, and deeply personal stories to help guide readers struggling with grief, confusion, or feeling lost, to move forward into hope, joy, and a better future. He helps readers: Uncover and face the deeply-held beliefs that have defined you so far Confront their deepest disappointments and desires and use those to orient their future Root out false ideas about what you can do, become, and be Walk through transitions with confidence and boldness Find mentors to guide and walk with you through this process Understand the calling God has placed on their lives Believe that their value lies in who they are, now what they do When you truly know who God made you to be, you will be able to know yourself, accept yourself, feel like you, and walk out into the world with your head held high, knowing you are a beloved child of God, already loved, already good enough.  This is a powerful and inspiring manifesto to help readers move from being lost, feeling guilty, confused about their callings, or wrestling with grief, to moving forward into healing, health, and happiness in their lives.

A long-treasured but forgotten classic of folk healing, with an introduction and commentary by the author of Backwoods Witchcraft and Doctoring the Devil.Ossman & Steel’s Guide to Health or Household Instructor (its original title) is a collection of spells, remedies, and charms. The book draws from the old Pennsylvania Dutch and German powwow healing practices that in turn helped shape Appalachian folk healing, conjure, rootwork, and many folk healing traditions in America. Jake Richards, author of Backwoods Witchcraft and Doctoring the Devil, puts these remedies in context, with practical advice for modern-day “backwoods” healers interested to use them today. The first part contains spells and charms for healing wounds, styes, broken bones, maladies, and illnesses of all sorts. The second part includes other folk remedies using ingredients based on sympathetic reasoning, including sulfuric acid, gunpowder, or other substances for swelling, toothache, headache, and so on. These remedies are presented here for historic interest, to help better understand how folk medicine evolved in America. It is Jake Richard’s hope that reintroducing this work will reestablish its position as a useful household helper in the library of every witch or country healer.

Brought to you by Altrusian Grace Media and narrated by Matthew Schmitz. This audiobook also includes an ambient version of the narration which features background music.
Rudolf Steiner (February 1861 – March 1925) was an Austrian occultist, social reformer, architect, esotericist, and claimed clairvoyant. Steiner gained initial recognition at the end of the nineteenth century as a literary critic and published works including The Philosophy of Freedom. At the beginning of the twentieth century he founded an esoteric spiritual movement, anthroposophy, with roots in German idealist philosophy and theosophy. His teachings are influenced by Christian Gnosticism. In the first, more philosophically oriented phase of this movement, Steiner attempted to find a synthesis between science and spirituality. His philosophical work of these years, which he termed "spiritual science", sought to apply what he saw as the clarity of thinking characteristic of Western philosophy to spiritual questions, differentiating this approach from what he considered to be vaguer approaches to mysticism. In a second phase, he began working collaboratively in a variety of artistic media, including drama, dance and architecture, culminating in the building of the Goetheanum, a cultural centre to house all the arts. In the third phase of his work, beginning after World War I, Steiner worked on various ostensibly applied projects, including Waldorf education, biodynamic agriculture, and anthroposophical medicine. Steiner advocated a form of ethical individualism, to which he later brought a more explicitly spiritual approach. He based his epistemology on Johann Wolfgang Goethe's world view in which "thinking…is no more and no less an organ of perception than the eye or ear. Just as the eye perceives colours and the ear sounds, so thinking perceives ideas." A consistent thread that runs through his work is the goal of demonstrating that there are no limits to human knowledge.
