It also highlights how cinnamon has been used historically across various cultures for its health benefits. The book investigates cinnamon's effects on insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism, vital for those interested in dietary management and health fitness. A gripping expose of the murky underbelly of the Indian healthcare system

95 per cent of healthcare facilities have less than five workers
30 million people are pushed into poverty by healthcare costs
    9 lakh C-sections are preventable
7.04 lakh children under the age of five die of pneumonia and diarrhoea every year
For Dr Sumanth C. Raman, the numbers don't lie. Decades of witnessing the inner workings of India's healthcare industry first-hand have given him ample reason to question and challenge it.
In Sick Business, through personal accounts of patients, interviews with doctors and other medical professionals, and numerous reports, he unveils a chilling portrait of a healthcare system marred by vested interests, shady research, lax State intent, questionable ethics and general disarray. Overburdened public hospitals, expensive private healthcare, a rampant culture of quacks, the nexus between big pharma and doctors, a silent epidemic of surgeries and over-diagnosis-the book deals with such burning topics and more as it uncovers the truth behind the pristine façade of hospitals and the doctors who work within.
Sick Business is a clarion call for reform and change. A gripping expose, in the end the book equips you with some real answers and the tough questions you need to ask when your family's health-and perhaps your own-is at stake.

By the time the Hubble telescope reached orbit, it was already the world’s most famous telescope, but it was also the most scorned. The telescope cost nearly $2 billion more to complete than anticipated, and to make matters worse, the first images it sent back were skewed. However, within about a year of fixing it, the telescope captured images of a major event in the solar system. In July 1994, the telescope provided a firsthand observation of a comet, Shoemaker-Levy 9, breaking apart and slamming into Jupiter. The comet broke into about two dozen pieces, some of them more than a mile wide, and hit the giant planet with the force of millions of atomic bombs. In addition to capturing the streaking comet breaking up and colliding with Jupiter, the telescope captured images of the impact marks that were left on Jupiter’s surface, helping astronomers study Jupiter’s atmosphere and debris left by major impacts.
The increase in excitement was palpable. Scientists had viewed much of the universe through Hubble, almost as it was when it was formed, but they learned that none of these galaxies were the first ones formed. Then ultimately realized that “Hubble wasn’t the right instrument to detect those first galaxies.” “The farther we can see in space, the farther we can see in time…and that’s not a metaphor. That’s actually literally true,” explained scientist Amber Straughn. The Webb Space Telescope represents “looking in a part of space that we’ve never seen before.” The telescope will be able to detect the earliest galaxies because of its unparalleled sensitivity. Another factor is the kind of light it will collect, “light that our eyes aren’t designed to see.”

The real story about how to be a successful seller on Amazon, from a leading consultant. Amazon is the most powerful business incubator in the history of the world. Unfortunately, where there is great opportunity, get-rich-quick schemes abound. Most available books about selling on Amazon peddle a dream that is unattainable for sellers. This book instead offers realistic, sustainable strategies for building a long-term, profitable business on Amazon. Whether sellers are burgeoning entrepreneurs or own the ecommerce channel at an established brand, they will benefit from the strategic thinking and in-depth Amazon know-how delivered in an easily digestible format. The reader will be guided through exercises to define their goals, determine their product set, and execute like a champ. The Amazon Incubator is written in short, easy-to-digest chapters that include case studies and real-world examples of Amazon seller success and failure. Readers will better identify with and understand the information when case studies are included. In addition, each chapter includes a brief summary at the end, as well as suggested action steps, so it can easily be used as a tool for the reader to share with teammates and business associates.

    Facing America's Greatest Enemy

"Facing America's Greatest Enemy" by Rich Germaine delves into the pervasive issue of apathy within American society, exploring its historical roots, psychological underpinnings, and extensive impact on various facets of life. The book opens with a compelling introduction that frames apathy and indifference as a silent yet formidable adversary threatening the foundations of democracy and societal progress. Germaine traces the emergence of apathy from post-revolutionary disinterest to contemporary political indifference, emphasizing how crises and prosperity alike have fostered disengagement.
Germaine provides historical examples, such as the rise of Nazi Germany and the low voter participation in recent U.S. elections, to underscore the dire consequences of public disengagement.
In the digital age, the paradox of connectivity is examined, where social media's potential to mobilize is countered by the overwhelming influx of information, leading to 'slacktivism'—a superficial form of engagement. The manuscript also addresses the role of education in combating apathy, advocating for curricula that foster critical thinking, empathy, and active citizenship.
Parental apathy is explored as a significant factor in children's moral and educational development, highlighting the need for active parental involvement despite modern challenges. The author also incorporates a biblical worldview, urging Christians to act against apathy through faith-driven engagement and community building.
Concluding with actionable steps, calling for a collective commitment to rekindle civic engagement and counter the inertia threatening American self-government. This comprehensive exploration offers a roadmap for individuals and communities to overcome apathy and foster a more involved, empathic, and active society.
