ABOUT THE AUTHOR
 
Dr. Martha Hinman holds baccalaureate and doctoral degrees in physical therapy (PT) as well as a masters degree in health education and a doctorate in allied health education and administration. During her 45 years of experience in higher education, she has mentored hundreds of students and faculty members at universities in Indiana, Maine, Texas, South Carolina, and New York. Dr. Hinman is semi-retired and currently serves as the interim director for a new Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Long Island University. She is also a professor emeritus for Hardin-Simmons University and remains active as an accreditation reviewer and consultant for multiple PT education programs nationwide.
 
In addition to Amazing Grays, Dr. Hinman has published 50 articles and book chapters, delivered more than 70 scientific and educational presentations, and received numerous awards for her teaching and research. She currently resides in Abilene, Texas with her husband, Pete Hinman, Jr.
