Created by a father and daughter that love to cook and eat together, this cookbook is full of delicious recipes, essential tips, and product recommendations for dads (and everyone). You will be able to print recipes and see photos. With Dad Makes Dinner you can easily make some great meals to share with your loved ones.Wanting your kids to eat more vegetables? Inside you will find a simple recipe you can use for different vegetables that your kids will absolutely love. Do you really need a recipe for a PB&J? If you want to make a GREAT one that your kids will love, this book is for you. Or, if you want to make something a little more complicated, like mouth-watering grilled salmon, this book is for you, too. We try and purchase organic products as much as possible. Our favorite places include our local farmers market, Trader Joe's, and Whole Foods. I use a lot of olive oil when I cook. Julia Child once said you need a certain amount of fat in your diet to process your vitamins. Olive oil, along with avocados and salmon, is how I prefer to get it. After researching what foods might help with boosting immunity, I discovered the benefits of mushrooms. I cook with them to support good health and to add extra umami. My daughter prefers no mushrooms, so I just take them out when I make her plate. We use mainly whole wheat bread, tortillas, and pasta. The right amount of salt and pepper can make a huge difference in flavor. When it comes to measuring, I almost always eyeball amounts. Most measurements included in the recipes are general estimates, so experiment with those. An exception is the recipe for the New Fashioned Pancakes, so follow that more closely. Most of these recipes make one or two servings, so adjust them as needed.Have fun cooking with your kids and teach them about kitchen safety. Help them learn the importance of a healthy diet, how to cook for themselves, and the joy of sharing meals together.

This insider's guide to American distilleries offers colorful lore, regional history, and tasting notes for bourbon, whiskey, and rye.

The Bourbon Drinker's Companion is a narrative journey into the heart of American craft distilleries, taking listeners from the well-known Jim Beam Booker Noe plant to craft whiskey brewers on the West Coast to the emerging new traditional distillers of the South, in search of America's best whiskey.

Bestselling author Colin Spoelman is back to celebrate all things whiskey as he explores the effect branding, taste, region, and distilling processes have on America's beloved and most notorious drink. Head down to Louisville to visit Angel's Envy Distillery, go east to Jeptha Creed Distillery in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and then be sure to hit one of America's oldest distilleries, Buffalo Trace, in nearby Frankfurt, as you follow the road of spirits.

Complete with sidebars highlighting key whiskies, bourbons, and ryes from each distillery, as well as tasting notes, pricing information, distilling methods, and more, The Bourbon Drinker's Companion is the perfect plus one to bring along.

    Read by the author.
Even though technology makes us more "connected" than ever, we still hunger for authentic relationships--with the natural world, our creator, and one another. But how do we find them, especially when we’ve lost touch with many of the foundational rhythms that draw us together?
The Kindred Life is a rallying cry for real connection in a time when we need to recapture what's been lost. In this collection of stories, photos, and recipes from her home on Kindred Farm in Santa Fe, Tennessee, sustainable farmer Christine Bailey shares both the beautiful and gritty moments as she grew from a hopeful urban gardener to co-owner of a farm full of produce, bees, chickens, and flowers that provides meaningful experiences for friends, family, and hundreds of guests each year.
Kindred means "tribe" or "family," and at the center of The Kindred Life is an invitation to pursue the experiences that unite us, like spending time in the dirt, slowing down, and joining in a simple meal under the stars. We were all created with the ability to carve out a life of connection, and it's worth every bit of sweat it takes to get there. We can slow down. We can step forward in bravery to do hard things well. And we can be intentional about gathering with and investing in others.
Discover the beauty of community, the magic of coming together around the table, and the lessons the land can teach you as you unearth your very own Kindred Life--right where you are.
Recipes and reflection questions are included in the audiobook companion PDF download.
