Sinopsis

Lori had no intention of falling in love, having never had the capacity to feel anything. But the more time he spends at the Restoration Facility, under the care of Dr. Rowen, he begins to change, unable to understand how or why. But he knows one thing for certain -- he doesn't want to be apart from the kind doctor.
After escaping an abusive marriage which left him feeling weak and worthless, Dr. Rowen Pace convinced himself he was content to live alone, surrounded by machines and closed off from almost everyone in his life. However, when one particular droid in his care starts showing signs of humanity, Rowen is forced to face his past trauma in order to help this unique being navigate what it means to be human, surprised by how far he is willing to go to save this droid ... and himself.

After a chance meeting aboard the ocean liner Paris in 1924, Harvard University scholar and activist F. O. Matthiessen and artist Russell Cheney fell in love and remained inseparable until Cheney's death in 1945. During the intervening years, the men traveled throughout Europe and the United States, achieving great professional success while contending with serious personal challenges, including addiction, chronic disease, and severe depression.

During a hospital stay, years into their relationship, Matthiessen confessed to Cheney that "never once has the freshness of your life lost any trace of its magic for me. Every day is a new discovery of your wealth." Situating the couple's private correspondence alongside other sources, Scott Bane tells the remarkable story of their relationship in the context of shifting social dynamics in the United States. From the vantage point of the present day, with marriage equality enacted into law, Bane provides a window into the realities faced by same-sex couples in the early twentieth century, as they maintained relationships in the face of overt discrimination and the absence of legal protections.

They agreed to co-parent, not to fall in love.

Pierce Simms buried his sister and inherited a farmhouse full of memories he'd rather sell than face — plus two kids he has no idea how to raise. The one person who can help him is the last man he expected: Dalton, his sister's high-school almost-boyfriend, now legally bound to him as co-guardian of two toddlers neither man planned for.

Dalton didn't come back to Wilcox for romance. He came back to keep a promise to a dead woman and to stop failing the people he loves. Moving into Pierce's world was supposed to be temporary, practical, boring. It was supposed to have rules.

But rules don't survive 3 a.m. feedings, kale-chip arguments, or the particular ache of watching someone become a parent in real time. Somewhere between the nursery and the barn, protecting their hearts stops feeling like the safer bet — and staying starts to look like the only bet worth taking.

Bridging Hope delivers forced proximity, instant family, and a slow-burn M/M romance where two grieving guardians fall for each other while learning to co-parent. Perfect for readers who take their farm romance heartfelt and their found family hard-won.

    ~*~

In search of a new life, Percy Collins found himself in a small mountain town where he ran into a man not much older than himself and scored a job at Echo Creek. A property full of misfits, or so the townsfolk had called it. But what Percy found was a home.
What Albie found was something he never thought possible. A man to love, and a man to share his dreams.
But times were tough, the winter harsh, and money scarce. Albie and Percy would need to do more than prove themselves worthy. They’d need to not only prove themselves better than anyone else. They’d need to prove it twice.
