Summary

John and Jaylynn Mogen had just retired, but one phone call from Jaylynn’s brother Colonel Carl Justine swept them up into the restoration movement of the red and religious states of the old United States of America. They had formed the “Western Southern Alliance of States”. This alliance of states had left the coastal states behind as they slide into socialism and communism. This new country would restart the American Experiment as our original Founders had intended. This new nation had let all the western Canadian Provinces join them. Parts of states were joining together to form new states as they broke from socialist state capitols. The borders of the WSA were still in a state of flux. While this was hard enough to wade through, the remnants of the deep states loosely attached to the CIA and NSA were doing everything in their power to take down this new government by attempted assassinations and misinformation.John had put together a group of constitutional scholars to write the new constitution for the WSA. He had convened a constitutional convention and was preparing for a national election. John and those around him had just a few months to get all this done while trying to protect acting President John Mogen and his family as well as the constitutional scholars and delegates from the new states.Old foes who could help their cause were trying to become friends. The power of discernment was becoming a superpower in the middle of all this. All John Mogen wanted to do was get the new country launched with an airtight constitution and people faithful to God into positions of power. This would give the new country the best chance at success. Will John achieve his vision for the WSA as he fights the old guard and tries to get all the new states on the same page? Will they follow his lead, his advice or go off into stalemate land like the old United States had gone? Will the sun dawn on a true constitutional republic or will internal and external forces destroy what he is trying to build?Kent Thompson, a history graduate from the University of Wyoming, began his career in the oil industry after a summer job at a refinery grew into a lifelong profession. He supervised offshore platforms off Long Beach, California, and collaborated with Navy SEAL TRADET on training exercises.Kent and his wife Susan, his high school sweetheart, live in a small mountain town in Arizona. They have three grown children and two grandsons. Kent is a lifelong student of the U.S. Constitution and the Federalist Papers.

A hunky carpenter plans to adopt six kids -- IF he can convince authorities that he isn't crazy. He isn't. His teapot really IS talking to him! This is a funny way to build a family.
Lloyd has reached the age of 32 years, seven months, four days, and six hours without finding Miss Right and converting her into Mrs. Lloyd Schifflebein. Yes, Schifflebein. A name that is unromantic, unspellable, and way too long for signing checks and the backs of credit cards.

Even if Miss Right appears, there is another impediment to wedded bliss: Lloyd obsesses over his six children. He doesn’t have them yet, but he is working on it. He has been filing adoption applications all his adult life. This leads many people to deduce that Lloyd Schifflebein is crazy. Big and strong, sure. Cute, maybe, but loony nonetheless.

Somehow Lloyd finally convinces the Social Worker From Hell that he really is good father-material. Soon the Schifflebein household is a circus, with six special kids and their six neurotic pet bunnies. To become a forever family, however, they must pass a probationary period with surprise inspections at any time.

Then things begin to go wrong:

The Teapot arrives. The one that is certain to get Lloyd get officially labeled “insane,” removing any chance of successful adoptions.

Miss Right appears, but she is engaged to someone else.

Lloyd’s enemies attack him with false accusations and numerous lawsuits.

The government takes away Lloyd’s children, pending his day in court.

In his fight to keep his children, his livelihood, and his beloved bride, Lloyd definitely needs supernatural help – even if it comes in the form of a snarky, talking Teapot.
