The third edition of [this book] is an invaluable reference.” —Douglas Tallamy, New York Times–bestselling author of Nature’s Best Hope   This easy-to-use, wide-ranging guide to invasive plants in North America features full-color photos and descriptions of more than 250 alien species—both terrestrial and aquatic—that are in some cases changing the landscape to an almost unimaginable degree. Accompanying text describes the plant’s environmental and economic impacts as well as management techniques used to control it. BLADE RUNNER 2049
    THE ULTIMATE TRIVIA COLLECTION

FROM THE MOVIE DIRECTED BY DENIS VILLENEUVE

    CREATED BY FILM TRIVIA METAVERSE

    ABOUT THE FILM
Blade Runner 2049 is a neo-noir science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, set 30 years after the events of the original Blade Runner (1982). The story follows K, a replicant blade runner played by Ryan Gosling, who uncovers a long-buried secret that could alter the balance between humans and replicants. As he investigates, K grapples with his own identity and purpose in a world where artificial beings struggle for autonomy. The film explores themes of humanity, memory, and artificial intelligence, set against a dystopian backdrop of environmental decay and corporate control, all while examining the complexities of existence.

    TRIVIA SAMPLES:

"Director Denis Villeneuve's first choice for the role of Niander Wallace was David Bowie, but sadly, he passed away before filming began."

"The opening scene where 'K' (Ryan Gosling) confronts Sapper Morton (Dave Bautista) mirrors an unused scene from the original Blade Runner (1982). In that scene, Deckard was supposed to shoot a Replicant and remove its artificial jaw, but the sequence was ultimately abandoned."

"To emphasize Joi's artificial nature, editor Joe Walker experimented with freezing her image for nine frames just before she responds to a question, creating a brief pause as if her processor was occupied. However, this approach felt forced, so it was dropped in favor of other visual cues, like her changing costumes."

Kim Kardashian is an American media personality, socialite, and businesswoman. She gained initial fame as a friend of Paris Hilton, but her career took off after a 2007 sex tape release and the debut of the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kardashian has become a billionaire with her brands Skims and KKW Beauty, and is known for her massive social media following and influence. She is also involved in political activism and prison reform, and is studying law. Her career includes numerous television appearances, endorsements, and acting roles, along with fashion and beauty ventures. She has been described as "famous for being famous".

    CURIOUS FACT SAMPLES:

Kim Kardashian first gained media attention as a friend and stylist of Paris Hilton. However, she became more widely known after a sex tape with her then-boyfriend, Ray J, was released in 2007.

Kim Kardashian's father, Robert Kardashian, was a lawyer who represented O. J. Simpson during his murder trial, and Simpson was also Kim's godfather. Her father died of cancer in 2003.

In her early career, Kim worked as a stylist for singer Brandy, but her mother, Sonja Norwood, alleged that Kim and her sisters made over $120,000 in unauthorized purchases on her credit card. Kim has denied all of the allegations and eventually settled the lawsuit out of court.

After her 2003 sex tape was leaked, Kim sued Vivid Entertainment, the distributor, but then dropped the suit for a reported $5 million, giving them permission to market and sell the tape. The sales from the tape reportedly generated almost $1.5 million in the first six weeks.

Whether we watch quick little songbirds at our backyard feeders, keep a flock of chickens, teach parrots to talk, or stand looking up at the sky, mesmerized by the aerial acrobatics of blackbirds gathering as the leaves turn in the fall, humans have an almost universal admiration of and interest in birds. We love the birdsong of spring, the fledglings in summer, the deep V of geese in autumn, the bright spot of red cardinals against white snow.

Wild or domestic, birds are clearly one of God's best gifts. This collection of forty heartwarming true stories of our fine feathered friends from animal-lover Callie Smith Grant celebrates that gift. With stories of brave budgie brothers, serene shore birds, hungry hummingbirds, a curious crow, an owl that came into a boy's life as an answer to prayer, and many more, Consider the Birds is the perfect companion to a cozy blanket, a cup of tea, and a chair by the window—where you can see the birds.
