Sinossi

The Apothecary of Flight by Jane Burn is a heady flight into the art of poetry itself: its vital importance as a tool for expression; for understanding and translating the self; for articulating the sheer force and joy of poetry and the way, for a person with autism, it can hold, identify and celebrate both the smallest and weightiest of life's experiences and concepts.
These unfettered and exquisite poems pulse with the details of both the wild and tame, the sacred and the humane – observing nature and animals with an artist's eye, capturing the ways in which place and time can hold the experiences of the body, memory and identity. This ongoing dialogue with poetry itself sets a visionary path towards discovery – the page as a place to root oneself, a place of deep creative freedom, self-permission, belonging and defiance. Ultimately, the form, presence and physicality of Burn's extraordinary poems move us with compassion towards the happiest solitude of words, and of love.

The Tragedy of Julius Caesar is a history play and tragedy by William Shakespeare first performed in 1599. It is one of several plays written by Shakespeare based on true events from Roman history, such as Coriolanus and Antony and Cleopatra.
Set in Rome in 44 BC, the play depicts the moral dilemma of Brutus as he joins a conspiracy led by Cassius to murder Julius Caesar to prevent him from becoming dictator of Rome. Following Caesar's death, Rome is thrust into a period of civil war, and the republic the conspirators sought to preserve is lost forever.
Although the play is named Julius Caesar, Brutus speaks more than four times as many lines as the title character; and the central psychological drama of the play focuses on Brutus' struggle between the conflicting demands of honour, patriotism, and friendship.
Among the most significant works William Shakespeare: Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, Macbeth, Orpheus, Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, Troilus and Cressida, The Tempest, Venus and Adonis, Antony and Cleopatra, Measure for Measure, The Winter's Tale and many more.

This is a tale of A BLACK MAN, not THE BLACK MAN, for we're not a monolith. We each have different ways of being. Maybe a collection like this changes perceptions, for we’re not only a group who share a similar hue. There’s a range to our melanin, a variety in BLACK MEN, not every man is hyper-masculine.
However, to our stereotypes, we’re hyper-vigilant.
This collection crafts a narrative that encompasses the different aspects of a BLACK MAN. Each section is diverse and unique but tells the tale of the whole man, the whole person. I'm hopeful this will change the way we're viewed in the eyes of some. For we're not merely the sum of our parts. We're people, we're men. We each have a purpose, families, and friends. We have hearts, flaws, and strengths too. We have joys and talents, just like you.
And just like everyone else, we seek to find a balance.

Every day we try to do our best just being men, for it's already hard enough being Black, Man!

In May 1926, Britain grinds to a halt, as workers down tools for the General Strike.
With the printing presses shut down, the only sources of news are the government's British Gazette, edited by Chancellor of the Exchequer Winston Churchill, and the independent, fledgling British Broadcasting Company, led by John Reith. The stage is set for a fierce battle over control of the news and who gets to define the truth.
Jack Thorne's When Winston Went To War With The Wireless is a gripping play about the birth of a great British institution and its efforts to stay impartial. It premiered at the Donmar Warehouse, London, in June 2023, directed by Katy Rudd, with Stephen Campbell Moore as Reith, Adrian Scarborough as Churchill, and Haydn Gwynne as Stanley Baldwin.

A timeless classic of love, longing, and the search for meaning, The Sun Also Rises is Ernest Hemingway’s definitive novel of the Lost Generation.
Follow war veteran and journalist Jake Barnes as he navigates the vibrant streets of 1920s Paris and the bullfighting arenas of Spain with his circle of expatriate friends. At the heart of it all is Lady Brett Ashley—beautiful, charismatic, and unattainable—whose complicated relationships fuel the novel’s emotional depth. Against a backdrop of café culture, revelry, and moral disillusionment, Hemingway’s spare, powerful prose captures the emptiness and excess of a postwar world.
Now brought to life in this evocative audiobook, The Sun Also Rises immerses listeners in Hemingway’s iconic style and unforgettable characters. Whether you’re discovering it for the first time or returning to an old favorite, this masterful narration delivers the novel’s raw emotion and haunting beauty like never before.
Experience the novel that defined a generation—listen today.
