  Tom Stodulka has loved to write for many years, though as a child he found this form of expression was a struggle. As the years progressed, through high school and law school, Stodulka gained an appreciation of language and how it could be used a s a tool for making a difference. His confidence grew enough to write diaries of his life in the Navy and eventually in 1976, on board the HMAS Duchess , he wrote his first poem, The World and the Future, which features in his first publication, Strom Clouds and Silver Linings; My Journey. 
  In this, his fifth publication, Tom continues to reflect, share his creative output and positively impact those with his work. Life is Love contains seventy brand new poems along with thirty of his previous works that his dedicated readers have requested be featured as special favourites. Also you will find reflections from fellow authors and Tom’s publisher on their experience of sharing special creative moments with him. 
  People often ask me what inspires me to write. The answer is simple; I love capturing the moment of a changing world and value incredibly the impact my writing has on my readers, whether it is my wife, family and friends, or complete strangers across the globe. A big thank you to you all.

  I Done Clicked My Heels Three Times takes its inspiration and concept from the cult classic film The Wiz to explore a Black woman's journey out of the South Side of Chicago and into adulthood. The narrative arc of The Wiz—a tumultuous departure from home, trials designed to reveal new things about the self, and the eventual return home—serves as a loose trajectory for this collection, pulling listeners through an abandoned barn, a Wendy's drive-thru, a Beyoncé video, Grandma's house, Sunday service, and the corner store. At every stop, the speaker is made to confront her womanhood, her sexuality, the visibility of her body, alcoholism in her family, and various ways in which narratives are imposed on her. 
   
   
   
  Subverting monolithic ideas about the South Side of Chicago, and re-casting the city as a living, breathing entity, I Done Clicked My Heels Three Times spans sestinas, sonnets, free-verse, and erasures, all to reimagine the concept of home. Chicago isn't just a city, but a teacher, a lingering shadow, a way of seeing the world.

  Anyone who reads The Book of Jade will quickly notice a few things: the author of this collection of poems holds a pessimistic, misanthropic view of life, and his obsessions lean towards the macabre, particularly focusing on themes of death, darkness, graves, corpses, and a longing to rest among the worms. The collection presents a world where God is portrayed as foolish, other people as imbeciles, and the fate of the dead as something to be envied. Certainly not light-hearted fare! Although The Book of Jade was initially published anonymously, it didn't take long for readers to discover the identity of its author when the obituary of David Park Barnitz , a young oriental studies scholar who passed away mere weeks after the book's publication, admitted as much. Though somewhat uneven in quality, the work has garnered admiration from figures such as H. P. Lovecraft , Donald Wandrei, and Clark Ashton Smith, firmly establishing its place in the canon of decadent literature. This edition includes all the poems of the original 1901 edition, as well as the poem "After-Life," which was published in Overland Monthly . David Park Barnitz (died 1901) was a prominent voice of the late 19th and early 20th century. Their work has endured across generations and continues to be read and studied worldwide. Poetry has always been the most concentrated and powerful form of literary expression. The verse collected in The Book Of Jade represents a high point of the poetic tradition, offering language of beauty and precision that speaks to the deepest levels of human experience.

  The Wolf

  The Wolf poem :: was inspired by William Blake's - 'The Tyger'. 
  It has the same regular form & meter as The Tyger. 
  With tempo and stanza (of the quatrain type), and is about one single animal in the natural world. 
  Where it differs from William Blake's poem is that the Poem Tyger has more religious connotations, not surprising for the times in which it was written. 
  Whereas 'The Wolf' written by myself, has more of Natures influences. 
  It's also about the possible demise totally of the Wolf through man, and a warning of this. 
  As we take care of The Wolf and other similiar 'top predator' animals, 
  so we automatically take care of the natural habitat that they live in - something that is increasing in peoples consciousness today.
