Beschreibung

In "The Legends of King Arthur and His Knights," James Knowles masterfully weaves together the tapestry of Arthurian lore, presenting a collection of tales that delve into the heroic exploits of King Arthur, his valiant knights, and the enchanting world of Camelot. Employing a narrative style that balances vivid imagery with poignant character development, Knowles captures the timeless themes of chivalry, loyalty, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. Set against a backdrop of medieval mystique, the work acknowledges earlier literary traditions while introducing an accessible prose aimed at a Victorian audience, thereby breathing new life into these ancient legends and ensuring their enduring appeal. James Knowles, a contemporary of the Victorian literary revival, was profoundly influenced by the Romantic movement's fascination with medieval history and mythology. With a background in literature and a passion for storytelling, Knowles sought to render the complex tales of Arthurian legend into a format that would captivate the imagination of his era. His keen scholarship and creative flair contributed to an enriched understanding of the cultural significance of these legends during a time when nostalgia for the past thrived in England. Readers seeking an engaging entry point into the world of King Arthur will find Knowles'Äô work indispensable. "The Legends of King Arthur and His Knights" is not merely a retelling; it is an evocative exploration of themes that resonate across time. This book invites readers to embark on a journey into a world where bravery and honor pave the path to immortality, making it a must-read for enthusiasts of medieval literature and mythology alike.

Victor-Marie Hugo (26 February 1802 - 22 May 1885) was a French poet, novelist, essayist, playwright, and dramatist of the Romantic movement. During a literary career that spanned more than sixty years, he wrote abundantly in an exceptional variety of genres: lyrics, satires, epics, philosophical poems, epigrams, novels, history, critical essays, political speeches, funeral orations, diaries, and letters public and private, as well as dramas in verse and prose.
BOOK 4: TO CONFIDE IS SOMETIMES TO DELIVER INTO A PERSON'S POWER: There was, at Montfermeil, near Paris, during the first quarter of this century, a sort of cook-shop which no longer exists. This cook-shop was kept by some people named Thénardier, husband and wife. It was situated in Boulanger Lane.

YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES & JOHN WATSON
The case of the lost fireworks and guy.
This completely new story I have written involves the 10 year old boys who will be the great detective Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, his assistant, when they grow up, this is their formative years where they perfect their skills before adulthood on what my appear to be inconsequential subjects, but the principle remains the same.
This is just one of an extensive series I will be publishing as audio books in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this first one, and its only $1.25 cents, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, a violin Holme's musical instrument of choice and is energetic and the closing music ends the tale on a more restrained mode and only about 1 minute.
The story itself runs to about 7 minutes 30 seconds and is of course a short story, it is read in my own voice.
The story starts on 4th November 1895 in the grounds of Buckingham Palace and it discovered that all the fireworks and the guy ready for the next day's night celebrating Guy Fawks infamy had gone missing.
Queen Victoria herself had organised the celebration and it would have been extremely embarrassed to have to cancel.
Needless to say Holmes solves the mystery, returns the fireworks and guy to the Queen and the event is a great success. The Queen summons the duo to express her great gratitude.
The stories are designed to be entertaining to children of 6 to10 years old with the characters involved.
I hope you and you children, if applicable, enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, more to come!

He's done fighting his attraction to the sexy vampire . . .

To say former firefighter Colin Zhang is struggling to accept his new life would be a vast understatement. He's bound to a vampire he didn't choose, living in a house filled with creatures better left to the imagination—there's a lot to resent. As much as he tries, he doesn't resent Evan—far from it. But he needs to know that what he feels is real and that requires breaking their bond. No matter the cost.

Vampire private investigator Evan Fournier is more than willing to explore his connection with Colin, but the crisis at hand keeps getting in the way. Their bond makes it dangerous for them to be apart, so he’s forced to put the other man at risk while he investigates the latest in a series of murders. If he doesn’t find the killer soon, the paranormal community will seek retribution on all humans, not just the guilty ones.

As the tensions escalate, Evan and Colin find solace in each other and their growing attraction. But if their bond is broken, attraction—even love—might not be enough to keep them safe.

Getting to Elysium, breaking through the Perimeter, and putting an end to the story that brought Altai to the Range in the first place . . . Sounds easy for someone who is used to surviving in hell. Except that the planet is facing an Invasion, the Green Zone is besieged by the Xenos, and a fleet is already hurrying to Rhapsody to level the planet's surface. However, hatred, rage, and a thirst for revenge are a great recipe for achieving the impossible.
