Summary

Now that her beloved father has passed away and the family estate has been sold off to provide for her future, the beautiful young Zelina Tiverton is somewhat bewildered to find herself living amid the glamour of London’s Social world with her Guardian, her glamorous Aunt Kathleen, who is the husband of the Earl of Rothbury.

Now her aunt has a greater shock in store for her, announcing that she is sending Zelina to Russia to stay as Governess with Prince and Princess Volkonsky in their superb Palace to teach their children English.

Clearly Aunt Kathleen simply wants Zelina off her hands as she is so pretty and so reluctantly she finds herself alone and unchaperoned aboard a Steamer bound for Stockholm en route to St. Petersburg.

On board she meets the seemingly imperial Lord Charnock, one of the most handsome and overwhelming men she had ever seen, but also one of the most aloof.

Unknown to Zelina, Lord Charnock is headed for St. Petersburg on an urgent and secret Diplomatic mission for the British Prime Minister, Lord Palmerston.

And so Zelina, the innocent abroad, finds herself unexpectedly in a menacing and threatening world of Secret Police, spies, sinister intrigue and predatory Russian aristocrats with only the dashing Lord Charnock to protect her in an unknown and uncaring land.

Money, power, and respect seemed to make I.E. and Truth pretty much untouchable to most for years. Growing up in the streets of Newark, NJ, they made a pact at an early age to become two of the biggest and richest drug dealers around. By the age of 24, they had successfully accomplished their
goal. Young, black, and paid, life was good in their eyes and they had no complaints. The ladies loved them, and the streets respected them.

With his height and the chiseled body to go along with brown eyes that fit perfectly against his golden caramel skin, I.E. was gorgeous, and he knew it. Let his aunt tell it, “that baby boy was born perfect.” Every female in the hood was pretty much willing to do anything to be his girl, or at least one of them,
but he prided himself on being unattached. He’d never been in love or had a woman he called his own.

    And he loved it.

Truth loved his lifestyle just as much as I.E. loved his. Dark-skinned with dreadlocks, he was built solid and strong. The women flocked to Truth everywhere he went but they also knew that he was only concerned with getting money and his long-time girlfriend, Shafequah. She was his world, and
everyone knew it. And there was no way he was going to replace her, ever.

One night at the club changes everything when Truth and I.E. meet the breathtakingly beautiful Tina, and her equally as beautiful godsister, Ka’mirah. It’s in that meeting that everything in their world begins to change in the blink of an eye.

When I.E. and Tina decide to give in to their feelings for each other, it sends both I.E. and Truth into a street war with their rival and Tina’s ex, Raheem. Determined not to back down from his empire or the woman he wants in his life, I.E. is ready to defend his territory by any means necessary. Stuck in a
street battle with I.E., Truth is also waging war at home when he finds himself caught up with two women he can’t choose between. Whatever he eventually decides, he knows for sure that life as he knew it will never be the same.

Ten years ago, Stephen Matheson was a troubled 19-year-old Alpha who struggled between living in two worlds.
Although his Type 4 Status should have placed him among the elite, he was the lone exception to a Lower Type bloodline. With his family’s reputation keeping him from the preferred lifestyle, and his Type 4 Status isolating him from the community he was born into, Stephen decided drugs were his only answer. But when his younger Omega brother found his hidden stash and overdosed, his family and authorities blamed him. Now, ten years later, Stephen is back in Tauris City to prove he is not the lost soul and waste of a human he once was.
When Stephen stumbles into South Street Tavern and meets the pioneering Omega bar owner Alexander Daventry, he believes fate itself has intervened. The instinctual pull tells Stephen he has found what every Alpha waits his entire life for: his Fated Mate. There’s only one problem. Alexander doesn’t feel the same for him. Instead, he is completely disgusted by the Alpha’s former reputation and can’t believe he’s been coerced into offering him a job as his bar back. But Stephen is convinced Alexander is meant to be his and will do what it takes to break down Alexander’s tough exterior.

Nebula-award winning author Mike Conner presents a novel about a world that all of us can recognize, a world of what might have been. In Minneapolis in the 1930’s, the deadly plague that ended the First World War is decimating the population. The only people who seem to be immune to its effects are black people. What does this mean for the future of the city—and of the nation? Young newsman Danny Constantine finds that not everyone is dying from the plague. He has discovered a series of bizarre deaths—murders that look like the work of a vampire. In these times of bad news, his own paper refuses to print the story and Danny must search for the truth on his own, except for a mysterious woman known only as archangel, who always seems to appear when needed most.
