As happily married movie stars, Jason and Colby Kent-Mirelli spend a lot of time playing roles, taking on characters, and bringing scenes to life, together on screen and off. Fortunately, they enjoy their job, and they also enjoy some extra role-playing at home. Colby has a vivid imagination, and Jason loves making his husband's fantasies come true.
Especially when pirates are involved. Or super spies. Or even a recreation of one of Jason's own holiday-themed action-hero movies ...

Desperate to escape the pain of his brother’s death, Jesse Melnik ran—but he couldn’t outrun the grief, no matter how much distance he put between himself and his past. Now, after fifteen years of trying, he’s finally ready to face his hometown of Charlottetown again.
He expects the memories of his brother to hover in every corner of his family’s sailboat and whisper in every sea-tinged breeze.
What he doesn’t expect is Parker Willis, the best friend he left behind without a word the day he fled.
And he certainly doesn’t expect old feelings to resurface.
Parker’s been stuck in a rut since his father died three months ago. Every day is the same: try to keep his father’s dinner cruise business afloat so he can chip away at Dad’s debts, one bill at a time, all while working a job that leaves him more frustrated than satisfied.
Then Parker’s routine shatters in the best way possible: Jesse Melnik arrives on Prince Edward Island for the summer, all six feet three inches of gorgeous hockey player.
    Now, that’s different.
    Jesse kickstarts Parker’s heart.
    Parker makes Jesse feel again
And although both men are a little bit damaged from struggling down the broken path of loss, maybe—just maybe—if they can lean on each other, they’ll learn to move forward at last.
Content warnings: themes of grief, discussions of a parent’s death from cancer, descriptions/discussions of a sibling’s death by suicide.

To see the world through comedian, writer, and The New Yorker contributor Zach
Zimmerman's eyes is to be reminded of the many ways in which love, religion, family, sex, money—or often lack thereof—lay bare our most elemental and embarrassing humanness. From meditations on heartbreak to not-so-helpful how-tos, this laugh-and-cry-out-loud essay collection documents one person's navigation through queerness, climbing the corporate ladder, dating cryptocurrency-obsessed mansplainers, mourning the loss of religiosity, and all the minute, beautiful discoveries in between.

"A charming, funny, resoundingly queer collection of bite-sized stories that go down smooth. It's a perfect summer read. You will fall in love with Zach." —GUY BRANUM, author of My Life as a Goddess: A Memoir Through (Un)Popular Culture

"Funny, provocative, touching, honest, and original. We're all already in Hell, but I'm so glad Zach is here with us. Zach writes as easily about the Olive Garden extended menu as about heartbreak and religion. I felt so seen and I laughed so hard." —BLYTHE ROBERSON, author of How to Date Men When You Hate Men

Lester "Les" McCoy is a retired cowboy who now lives in the city, working days at the Ranch and Feed. He loves his country music. Not so his tenant, Damien Ridley, who lives downstairs in his duplex and works evenings at the gym.
"Metal boy," as Les likes to call him, prefers to listen to all things rock and metal at decibels that make his ears bleed. Damien is attracted to Les, which he makes abundantly clear with those translucent gray eyes and his hot, kissable mouth. Problem is, although Les is in lust with Damien, he's an old prairie bachelor and sees his metal boy as too young for a roll in the hay. He'd rather be put out to pasture.
Enter a friend who's gay-bashed and a co-worker who kicks his head out of his ass, and Les reconsiders whether a heavy metal dude can help an old cowboy with the blues.
