Bernard Shaw
Dublin-born Bernard Shaw (1856–1950) was a playwright, essayist and journalist, prominent socialist, and noted vegetarian. He is best known for his plays, which include Major Barbara (1905), Pygmalion (1913) and Saint Joan (1923). In 1925 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature.
