Summary

Thirty-three-year-old Allyn "AK" Katz is embracing her fresh start in Arkville, Tennessee. Her baking expertise quickly reels in a small clientele, and she finds peace in the mundane life she's created for herself. Just when she thinks she's left a past that carries one too many memories, her charming next-door neighbor enters her life, making it difficult to hide from the truth. 
  
Desert "DB" Brown, born and raised in Arkville, Tennessee, is an old-fashioned, southern gentleman. After losing his sister and leaving his adulterous wife, he resigns as ADA, hoping for a clean slate. One day, a neighbor's fire alarm sounds off, thrusting him into a new world full of adventure and secrecy. 
  
While focusing on his private investigation firm, the thirty-eight-year-old bachelor is met with the assistance of a shy beauty.
