This official tie-in edition to the Donmar Warehouse's acclaimed 2023 revival of Shakespeare's extraordinary psychological drama features rich and revealing behind-the-scenes material exploring how the production was conceived and developed.
Starring David Tennant and Cush Jumbo, and directed by Donmar Associate Director Max Webster, this bracingly fresh version used binaural sound technology to place the audience inside the minds of the Macbeths, asking us: are we are ever really responsible for our actions?
It was first staged at the Donmar Warehouse, London, in December 2023, and transferred to the Harold Pinter Theatre in the West End in October 2024.
In addition to the version of Shakespeare's text performed, this volume also includes a fascinating rehearsal diary, colour photos, and interviews with its leading cast and creative team: Tennant, Jumbo and Webster, plus designer Rosanna Vize, sound designer Gareth Fry and composer and musical director Alasdair Macrae.

Afonydd - Poems for Welsh Rivers...

Inspired by the positive reaction to our earlier bilingual Welsh/English poetry anthology about a Welsh road, A470 Poems for the Road/Cerddi'r Ffordd; we expanded our scope to Welsh rivers - any of them. with over 600 to choose from this proved a rich seam of invention for our Welsh poets, and a wide geographical range within Wales too. Our poets range from novices to luminaries of the Welsh Poetry scene. The outcome - 50 poems in their original language, whether that was English or Welsh, next to a translation, celebrating everything about Welsh rivers, from source to estuary, fresh and clean or culverted and polluted, childhood memory to recent flooding.

Originally performed in Edinburgh in 2017, with the title Woke, it won a Scotsman Fringe First, a Highly Commended Award from Amnesty International, and was shortlisted for the Filipa Bragança and Scottish Art Club Theatre Awards.
This edition was published alongside the revival at Summerhall during the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, co-produced by Stellar Quines and The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, winning a Summerhall Lustrum Award.

I Done Clicked My Heels Three Times takes its inspiration and concept from the cult classic film The Wiz to explore a Black woman's journey out of the South Side of Chicago and into adulthood. The narrative arc of The Wiz—a tumultuous departure from home, trials designed to reveal new things about the self, and the eventual return home—serves as a loose trajectory for this collection, pulling listeners through an abandoned barn, a Wendy's drive-thru, a Beyoncé video, Grandma's house, Sunday service, and the corner store. At every stop, the speaker is made to confront her womanhood, her sexuality, the visibility of her body, alcoholism in her family, and various ways in which narratives are imposed on her. 
 
 
 
Subverting monolithic ideas about the South Side of Chicago, and re-casting the city as a living, breathing entity, I Done Clicked My Heels Three Times spans sestinas, sonnets, free-verse, and erasures, all to reimagine the concept of home. Chicago isn't just a city, but a teacher, a lingering shadow, a way of seeing the world.
