Sinopsis

A gory display in a London park sets the police scrambling, in this new thriller by the author of From Inside the House. When a bloodstained effigy made of body parts is found in a park, DI Daniel Graves must discover what it means and find the person responsible. Symbols at the crime scene suggest the occult. Who is behind this horrific scene and what’s his purpose? As Graves and his partner, DI Charlie Palmer, begin to investigate, they enlist the help of Molly Gooding, a talented professor specialising in the arcane. Then the next crime scene is found. More blood, more symbols, and again, out in the open. It seems the killer wants the world to pay attention, but why? How are they choosing their victims? The pressure is on for Graves to put an end to the murders before more victims appear. In addition, Graves’s past is still not behind him. Someone is eager to make sure he doesn't forget and cannot move on. And they’re not playing games anymore. There may be a killer out there, but someone else is out for blood—Daniel Graves’s blood . . .Praise for the DI Graves series “Panic inducing moments.” —Scream magazine “Lures readers in and holds them.” —Online Book Club

Emerie Fox's New Home Comes with Unwanted Surprises . . .
Leaky pipes, moldy basements—and a mischievous demon poltergeist who's redecorating her home, stealing her stuff, and leaving blood-soaked messages on the mirror. Sure, the messages are helpful (like reminders to buy milk or grab an umbrella), but Emerie is not the kind of person who tolerates vermin—supernatural or otherwise.
When DIY Exorcism Goes Wrong . . .
In a desperate attempt to rid herself of the supernatural nuisance, Emerie accidentally rips open a rift between worlds, unleashing the forces of Hell onto her quiet New England town. Now, with a sarcastic witch, a no-nonsense priest, and a dangerously attractive (and seriously irritated) demon named Samael by her side, Emerie has no choice but to track down and exorcise every demon before the portal to Hell consumes everything.
But as things spiral out of control, Emerie begins to wonder: is this just a simple case of demon extermination, or is something far darker—and much more personal—at play?
Perfect for fans of dark humor, supernatural adventure, and steamy demon romance, this fast-paced, laugh-out-loud paranormal romp will keep you hooked until the very end!

    So that happened…
And there we all thought that the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse would be the worst event of the year.
That was before we factored in that we must have gotten lost in the garbage-people timeline where only the strong survive—and usually not those portraying strength of character.
But that isn’t even my main issue right now. With fall in full swing and winter fast approaching, food and other resources are not just limited but actually getting really hard to come by.
    Food…
Don’t even get me started on that.
Now that it boils down to survival of the assholes, decisions have to be made and sacrifices are in order. And as much as I would like to keep my firm stance on the moral high ground, I’m really not that fond of the consequences. If only there was an alternate solution for my problems… but as I’ve recently found out, that comes with its own massive downsides.
If only that wasn’t so damn tempting, now that I’m hungry all the time…
    So damn hungry…
