Summary

Skater Girl Asha tells the TRUE story of how Asha, an Untouchable, broke courageously with the traditional conventions in her village and shaped her life ever since. She escaped her arranged marriage and found her passion and purpose through skateboarding. Today, Asha is a strong voice for all the girls in her village of Janwaar – and far beyond. 
“Before the skatepark started, I was very different. I didn’t know my own voice. I couldn’t talk to anyone. I couldn’t even make eye contact with anyone. I never made any decision on my own – only my family members would decide what is good and what is bad for me. This has changed completely when the skatepark came to my village. I’ve found my voice.
