Ever feel like you’re the only sane one on a planet full of whackadoodles? Welcome to This is EARTH — the brutally honest, laugh-out-loud survival guide you can’t stop listening to. Narrated by author Howard Glazer in his signature sarcastic style, this isn’t your typical self-help audiobook. It’s for anyone who’s ever felt like a rational alien trapped on an irrational planet. Spoiler alert: common sense is vanishing… so you’d better get used to it. Howard spent years collecting thoughts, stories, and facepalms, and turned them into an audiobook that’s equal parts rant and roadmap. Expect bold truths you’ve probably been thinking but never said out loud, biting humor that calls out the absurdities of everyday life, and just enough “did he really just say that?” moments to shake up your perspective.
Inside, you’ll hear about: The unapologetic “F*ck’em Principle” (yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like)Why your perspective might be your most underrated superpower, The difference between character and reputation, Why some people are just a**holes: how not to be one, and how to deal with the ones you can’t avoid, How AI, social media, politics, money, friends, and your mindset quietly shape your life, and much more.
This is not about puppies and rainbows, or wishful thinking — it’s about waking up to the real world, laughing through the madness, and staying grounded when the world’s completely unhinged. So, if you’ve ever asked yourself: 1- “Why are people like this?” 2- “Why is everyone so offended all the time?” and 3- “Am I the only one who sees how out of control this is?”… then you’re not alone. Whether you’re burned out, baffled, or just plain fed up, this refreshingly satirical and deeply grounded audiobook will challenge how you see the world, and yourself.

Shame is a notoriously unpleasant emotion that almost all of us have experienced at least once in our lifetimes. Almost everyone knows what the feeling of shame is like. However, we are reluctant to disclose our shameful experiences. It is often mentioned that shame is a taboo subject. Ironically, we are ashamed of our shame. It seems much easier to say ‚I am angry/sad/nervous? than to say ‚I am sorry.” Rather than finding it liberating, there is an assumption that talking about shame is demeaning or a sign of weakness. Therefore, until recently, there has been a shortage of research, understanding, and knowledge about shame to the extent that shame and similar emotions, such as guilt, are used interchangeably in the literature. Since shame appears present in a wide variety of psychological disorders and is associated with mental health problems such as depression, social phobia, and eating disorders, it is necessary to extend our knowledge in this area and become well-equipped to deal with it their shame. The current shame theorists suggest shame is one of the so-called self-conscious emotions because it mainly involves evaluating the self. A scandal is believed to be an incapacitating emotion accompanied by the feeling of being small, inferior, and shrinking. The self, as a whole, is devalued and considered to be inadequate, incompetent, and worthless. Shame might also involve being exposed, condemned, and ridiculed.Unlike basic emotions, shame does not seem to have distinctive universal facial expressions. It is not experienced similarly in different cultures. Emotions such as shame, pride, guilt, embarrassment, envy, empathy, and jealousy are associated with a sense of self and self-awareness; hence, they belong to a family of self-conscious emotions. Therefore, guilt is not experienced in species with lower cognitiv
