Summary

Brontë Falls is a crime story like no other. Exciting, suspenseful and intensely funny it follows the brutal crimes of a copycat serial killer, punctuated by the amusing goings-on of a very odd Yorkshire precinct.
Detective Inspector Charles Brontë, long-suffering, irreverent but effective is on the case along with tough-cookie, Sergeant Jennifer Pepper.
Brontë, ready for retirement is most certainly not ready for a vicious psychopath moving onto his beloved patch, slaying locals Willy-Nilly whilst posing and displaying their dead, mutilated bodies in the villages of the Yorkshire Moors.
Initially Brontë and Pepper struggle to make a connection between the murderer and the victims, making the likelihood of a successful arrest out of reach. It is only with the help from unexpected quarters: an outlaw biker gang, a coven of witches and an American newspaper hack, that Brontë and Pepper can get anywhere near to the gruesome truth... and gruesome is what the truth really is. You will really enjoy this book it is a good fun exciting thriller with a twist and turns and certainly unexpected ending.

If someone had asked Sherlock Holmes later in the year, there is little doubt that he would have said his life began that spring day in 1871 when he met Violet Rushdale upon the moors and ended in the winter some months distant. His mother would have disputed the former claim, and many, both friend and foe, would come to deny the latter. Yet what happened that year nearly cost him his life and his sanity, and strongly influenced the man he was to become. It is well known that the toughest steel that makes the sharpest swords must be plunged into the fire, then beaten and reshaped. So it is as well with the best and wisest of men.
The Crack in the Lens tells the tale of how and WHY a young Sherlock Holmes forged himself into the Great Detective.

The delegates — or as Kirill thought of them, “The Seven Deadly Sins” — were not people who had brought happiness into the world. For the sake of his own survival and longevity, he had to remain on guard for the entire duration of the conference. Some periods in life are quite literally life-or-death moments, and this conference would be a long series of such moments.
Human Asset Management was the Corporation’s description for the illegal human trafficking trade. The number of Assets was expected to exceed 30 million, encompassing a diversity of categories from every country on the planet — men, women, and children of all ages.
They would be allocated to businesses and residences across every sector of the global economy including:
The Agency had been created in secret and funded by shell companies to protect the anonymity of its members. The Director was struggling to juggle both the budgets and the morale within the Agency — and he desperately needed a break. He was ever the optimist and, although not a religious man, prayed occasionally for help in any way, shape, or form.
Then, Max was found alive on a waste dump, carrying with him clues from the past.
A prayer had been answered — and now, the chase was on!
