Summary

Love Was the Most Dangerous Thing is not a love story that promises safety. It is a story about attraction that feels like fate—and slowly reveals itself as a warning.Aria believes she understands love. She’s careful, self-aware, and grounded in a life she’s built with intention. Then she meets Sebastian—a man whose intensity feels like connection, whose attention feels like devotion, and whose certainty feels intoxicating. He sees her in ways no one ever has. He listens. He notices. He stays. At first, it feels like everything she’s been missing. But love doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes it slips in quietly—through concern disguised as care, affection that slowly turns into control, and devotion that begins to demand ownership. As Aria’s world subtly reshapes itself around Sebastian, the line between intimacy and manipulation blurs, leaving her questioning her instincts, her boundaries, and eventually herself. When Ethan—a man from her past who knows her without trying to possess her—unexpectedly reenters her life, Aria is forced to confront a truth she’s been avoiding: not all love is safe, and not all intensity is passion.Love Was the Most Dangerous Thing is an emotionally charged psychological romance about red flags we ignore, warnings we explain away, and the courage it takes to reclaim yourself when love asks for too much. It explores how easily affection can become a cage—and how choosing yourself can be the most difficult, powerful act of all.Perfect for readers who love:Deep emotional tensionSlow-burn, psychologically complex romanceStories about self-worth, boundaries, and emotional survivalLove that feels real, messy, and dangerously believableThis is not a story about falling in love. It’s a story about recognizing when love is no longer freedom—and choosing to walk away before it costs everything.

She tries to explain them away. But Alfie sees them too and Sarah believes that they have become the targets of a haunting attack.
Convinced that the ghost is that of a 19th Century local witch, Sarah delves into local folklore and learns that the witch was thought to have been evil incarnate. And when a series of old letters surface, Sarah discovers that nothing is as it seems, not even the ghost who haunts her very home…

Tangling up with my new physical therapist, Mila Lewis, is a mistake. One I can't seem to stop making.

When I sign with the Tennessee Thunderbolts, I have two goals: prove my injury hasn't benched my career and get back to New York. But then, I meet Mila, the enigmatic therapist tasked with rehabbing my shoulder.

With her long ponytail, professional demeanor, and girl-next-door look, Mila is nothing like my usual type. She's better—a good girl with sad eyes and a tragic past our small town loves to dissect.

With the entire town up in her business, our budding connection is far from simple. I'm not staying, and Mila will never leave.

Deep down, I know I should walk away and let her find the happily-ever-after she deserves.

But I can't. Not without showing her that it could be me. And that may be the biggest mistake of all.

    Contains mature themes.
