Summary

Tim can't believe his luck when the gorgeous woman picks him up in a bar. But before they're married, Marcia makes it clear that she needs more than just one man. Tim has to agree if he doesn't want to lose her. Soon he's on a rollercoaster of erotic highs and lows that sometimes break his heart as his wife searches for other men--and women--to satisfy her needs!

~~~~~ PG Excerpt ~~~~~
Tim had seen her walk in, like nearly every other man in the bar. He’d been alone and lonely since before he’d walked in, and not being a part of a group, he expected to go home alone.
Tim saw her push her chair back under her table as she said a few words to her friends. Then, Marcia walked toward him, and he was seized by a moment of panic. She could have been heading to the bar or the restroom, but he knew she wasn’t. Marcia was twisting a ring on her right hand and coming straight toward him. Tim stood as though petrified, unsure what game she was playing.
As she drew near, Marcia was pleased by the look of surprise on his face. He was tall, well over six feet, and wore long dark hair and a dark mustache. There was nothing unusual about his clothes, showing neither wealth nor poverty.
He had to bend toward her to hear what she had to say in the noisy bar. “You remind me of Heathcliff from the latest Wuthering Heights movie.” She’d watched the movie three times because of her intense physical reaction to the actor. The third time she’d masturbated whenever he was on the screen. Unlike some of her girlfriends, Marcia had never fantasized about taking an actor or a movie character to bed. But, she’d have spread her legs for Heathcliff.
“I do?” Although he'd heard of the book, Tim hadn’t seen the movie. “Is that good or bad?”
“It’s good, I think. You’re tall and dark and mysterious looking. Maybe even pensive. Are you pensive?” Marcia asked, smiling and trying not to appear nervous, which caused her already soft voice to become even harder to hear.
“It must be because I’m not mysterious. I’m Tim, by the way, and this table just opened up. Would you have a drink with me?”
“I would.” Liquor loosened the tight control Marcia tried to keep on her raging libido. Tim looked even more like the actor up close, and she loved how the English actor had looked. She’d loved his appearance so much she’d dreamt of him sweeping her away and ravishing …
“What are you thinking,” Tim interrupted.
“I was thinking of how much you resembled the actor.”
“You said that was a good thing; how good was it?” Tim asked.
“I dreamt that he had his way with me,” Marcia smiled back at him. Tim was momentarily struck dumb by the radiance of her smile and the x-rated content of her words.
“I’d love to sweep you off your feet and have my way… Sorry, I don’t mean to offend you.”
“Were you going to say you wanted to have your way with me?”
“Yes, again, I apologize.”
“Repeat after me,” Marcia said, looking into his eyes. “Marcia, I want to take you back to your apartment and ravish you.”
Tim swallowed hard, and his adam’s-apple bobbed in his throat. “Marcia, I want to take you back to your apartment and ravish you.”
“Great,” she said. “Now stand, and let’s go.”
    The inspiring story of a feisty pioneering woman who sought freedom and adventure in the outback and became the first woman to work as an opal miner in Australia.
    People always asked her if she was ever afraid, living out in the desert alone with all those rough and scruffy men. But Minnie Berrington was not the faint-hearted type, and never had been. Being tough came naturally to her, growing up with three brothers and a family that went from riches to ruins.
    Only a slip of a girl, Minnie could match any man in stamina, perseverance and strength. She arrived in Coober Pedy when camels still brought in essential supplies, and water was so scarce that no-one washed. Together with the other miners, she braved the heat, the flies and the dust. Every day she waited for that special sound the pick made when it cracked opal.
    The first woman to dig her own shafts in the Australian opal fields, Minnie began her working life as a typist in London. But she and her younger brother, Victor, sought freedom and adventure in the 1920s and found plenty of it in the outback.
    Includes the collections Nowadays, Tales of War, & Unhappy Far-Off Things The great fantasy writer Lord Dunsany wrote very little in the way of fantasy after the onset of the First World War. This was partly because he was busy, having volunteered in 1915 and becoming a Captain in the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers in Derry. However, the reality of the world bore in on our hero at this time, and it is not difficult to imagine that his heart moved to more serious concerns.Dunsany’s days of high fantasy, it seems, ended with the emergence of civil unrest in his nation. This is why the non-fiction section is included at the end of this collection; while he wrote the odd fantasy work in later years, they were written by a distinctly different man, with a very different life. For a week, he lay in a hospital bed, listening to the sounds of the riots as the British forces became increasingly violent and shelled the centre of Dublin with artillery. His military belt was left in the hospital, and eventually buried with the Nationalist leader Michael Collins.This, it seems, was the trigger for his change of heart, as expressed in ‘Nowadays’, towards poetry as the essence of writing. “In January 1917, under the stimulant of shellfire, I turned to poetry and wrote two poems in Plug-Street Wood”.After initially being refused forward positioning, he eventually served in the trenches. In this time, his literary output was focused on writing propaganda material for the War Office, some of which is collected in the non-fiction section of this volume.
    Follow along a Navy SEAL's firsthand account of American heroism during a secret military operation in Afghanistan in this true story of survival and difficult choices. On a clear night in late June 2005, four U.S. Navy SEALs left their base in northern Afghanistan for the mountainous Pakistani border. Their mission was to capture or kill a notorious al Qaeda leader known to be ensconced in a Taliban stronghold surrounded by a small but heavily armed force. Less then twenty-four hours later, only one of those Navy SEALs remained alive.  This is the story of fire team leader Marcus Luttrell, the sole survivor of Operation Redwing, and the desperate battle in the mountains that led, ultimately, to the largest loss of life in Navy SEAL history. But it is also, more than anything, the story of his teammates, who fought ferociously beside him until he was the last one left-blasted unconscious by a rocket grenade, blown over a cliff, but still armed and still breathing. Over the next four days, badly injured and presumed dead, Luttrell fought off six al Qaeda assassins who were sent to finish him, then crawled for seven miles through the mountains before he was taken in by a Pashtun tribe, who risked everything to protect him from the encircling Taliban killers.  A six-foot-five-inch Texan, Leading Petty Officer Luttrell takes us, blow by blow, through the brutal training of America's warrior elite and the relentless rites of passage required by the Navy SEALs. He transports us to a monstrous battle fought in the desolate peaks of Afghanistan, where the beleaguered American team plummeted headlong a thousand feet down a mountain as they fought back through flying shale and rocks.  In this rich, moving chronicle of courage, honor, and patriotism, Marcus Luttrell delivers one of the most powerful narratives ever written about modern warfare -- and a tribute to his teammates, who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
    A novel explanation for why politicians insult, accuse, and threaten their opponents, even though voters say they don't like it.
    Why do politicians engage in nasty politics? Why do they use insult, accusations, intimidation, and in rare cases violence against their domestic political opponents? In Nasty Politics, Thomas Zeitzoff answers these questions by examining this global political trend in the US, Ukraine, and Israel and looking at how key leaders such as Trump, Zelensky, and Netanyahu use it. Drawing on surveys, case studies, in-depth interviews, databases of nasty politics, and large social media datasets, Zeitzoff shows that across all three countries, the public generally doesn't like nasty politics and it increases the threat of political violence. But it can also be a way to signal toughness to voters, which is especially important in threatening times. Featuring a powerful theory of why nastiness takes hold in democratic polities, Nasty Politics highlights how it influences the kinds of politicians who run for office and deepens our understanding for why so many politicians now rely on outsized
    anger and withering insults for political gain.
