The sisters, Rita, Mary Beth and Jennifer, couldn't be different from each other, and to make things worse, Belle's will states that the three have to stay together in the same place for thirty days, or be disinherited.

With the stakes high and no TV, internet or cell phone service, tensions soon rise. But will the sisters be able to overcome their differences, and who will inherit the money?

Look for Wreck, the new novel by Catherine Newman—a deeply moving story of laughter and heart, about marriage, family, and what happens when life doesn’t go as planned—Coming October 2025.
“Catherine Newman sees the heartbreak and comedy of life with wisdom and unflinching compassion. The way she finds the extraordinary in the everyday is nothing short of poetry. She’s a writer’s writer—and a human’s human.”—New York Times bestselling author Katherine Center
“A riotously funny and fiercely loyal love letter to female friendship. The story of Edi and Ash proves that a best friend is a gift from the gods. Newman turns her prodigious talents toward finding joy even in the friendship’s final days. I laughed while crying, and was left revived. Newman is a comic masterhand and a dazzling philosopher of the day-to-day.”—Amity Gaige, author of Sea Wife
“The funniest, most joyful book about dying—and living—that I have ever read.”—KJ Dell'Antonia, author of the New York Times bestselling The Chicken Sisters
For lovers of Meg Wolitzer, Maria Semple, and Jenny Offill comes this raucous, poignant celebration of life, love, and friendship at its imperfect and radiant best.
Edith and Ashley have been best friends for over forty-two years. They’ve shared the mundane and the momentous together: trick or treating and binge drinking; Gilligan’s Island reruns and REM concerts; hickeys and heartbreak; surprise Scottish wakes; marriages, infertility, and children. As Ash says, “Edi’s memory is like the back-up hard drive for mine.”
But now the unthinkable has happened. Edi is dying of ovarian cancer and spending her last days at a hospice near Ash, who stumbles into heartbreak surrounded by her daughters, ex(ish) husband, dear friends, a poorly chosen lover (or two), and a rotating cast of beautifully, fleetingly human hospice characters.
As The Fiddler on the Roof soundtrack blasts all day long from the room next door, Edi and Ash reminisce, hold on, and try to let go. Meanwhile, Ash struggles with being an imperfect friend, wife, and parent—with life, in other words, distilled to its heartbreaking, joyful, and comedic essence.
For anyone who’s ever lost a friend or had one. Get ready to laugh through your tears.

    From the Back Cover
“I stuck a hair dryer on me bunion to stretch me skin out. Didn’t bloomin’ work.”
So begins Brad’s uproarious new life as an Essex native who’s yanked from living his pipe dream in the Spanish sunshine to the grey and wet northwest of England.
In this comedy memoir, Brad is catapulted to a strange land in his homeland where complete strangers tell him about their bunions and insist on showing him the holes “they burned” in the crotch of their swimming trunks.
It’s a land of confusion where everything he thought true comes into question: bread rolls are now called, “barms"; tea is something you eat not drink; almond milk is unheard of because, “yer don't get teats on an almond, stupid!”
It’s a land where Brad is so cold that he’s wearing more coats than a nightclub cloakroom can handle while the locals casually stroll around in their beachwear.
Will fish out of water Brad sink or swim as he adapts to the culture shock of being a soft southerner up north?
One thing’s for sure, you’re in for a pant-pissing, rollercoaster ride of mishaps, mayhem, and meat pies.

This program is read by the author.A darkly comic memoir about being a working creative person in a world that is growing ever more dysfunctional, by acclaimed New Yorker cartoonist and television writer Bruce Eric Kaplan In January 2022, Bruce Eric Kaplan found himself confused and upset by the state of the world and the state of his life as a television writer in Los Angeles. He started a journal to keep from going mad, which eventually became They Went Another Way.The book’s through line traces his attempt to get a television project set up in the increasingly Byzantine world of Hollywood. But as he details the project’s ups and downs, Kaplan finds himself ruminating not only on show business but also on today’s political and social issues, on old movies and TV shows and music, on his family, on his friends, on his past, on his failing heating system, and on all the dead birds thatkeep showing up in his backyard. This hilarious and surprisingly moving book is about life—about art, about love, about alienation, about connection, about ugliness and beauty, about disappointment, wonder, and hope. In short, it is about everything.A Macmillan Audio production from Henry Holt & Company.

On a honeymoon two is company and three is a crowd.
    Five is ridiculous.
After their wedding--and the Ice Dame's high-handed exploitation of the event--Triana and O'Neill embark on their honeymoon, only to find they’ve been booked on a CelebVid cruise to Armstrong with Vanti, Elodie, and Leo.
When the jump to Armstrong throws Triana and O'Neill into an alternate reality, they must outsmart the multi-verse versions of their friends, a lunatic professor and his corporate sponsor, and a cargo hold full of egg-throwing rodents if they hope to return to their own lives.
How will they do it? With spectacular, Space Janitor style, of course.
Come along for a Space Janitor twist on a classic alternate reality story. While you will likely enjoy this one without reading the rest of the series first, you'll have more fun if you get to know the characters in books 1 though 3. And even better if you've read the original Space Janitor series.
