Summary

Randal Cummings is about to be given his first ministry, but he has a secret: though he has been prayed over and supposedly delivered from the perverse demon of homosexuality, he is still as queer a rhino with wings. To make matters worse ... his ministry is to those who share this abominable affliction and wish to be freed from its bondage.
Then Randal meets a man who shares his desires. Can he suppress his feelings for his ministry or will he find his own deliverance in the end? This lighthearted spoof of a conservative religious community answers one simple question -- who ministers to whom?

A groundbreaking account of New York's Fire Island, chronicling its influence on art, literature, culture and queer liberation over the past centuryFire Island, a thin strip of beach off the Long Island coast, has long been a vital space in the queer history of America. Both utopian and exclusionary, healing and destructive, the island is a locus of contradictions, all of which coalesce against a stunning ocean backdrop. Now, poet and scholar Jack Parlett tells the story of this iconic destination—its history, its meaning and its cultural significance—told through the lens of the artists and creators who sought refuge on its shores. Together, figures as divergent as Walt Whitman, Oscar Wilde, James Baldwin, Carson McCullers, Frank O'Hara, Patricia Highsmith and Jeremy O. Harris tell the story of a queer space in constant evolution.Transporting, impeccably researched and gorgeously written, Fire Island is the definitive book on an iconic American destination and an essential contribution to queer history.Supplemental enhancement PDF accompanies the audiobook.

Michael McCabe doesn't take vacations—especially not after nearly losing his brother to a psychotic arsonist. But when an explosion rocks his enforced getaway in Tahiti, the off-duty SWAT officer is pulled into a crisis that looks like far more than bad luck.

Alex Kessler came to the islands to scatter his late wife's ashes—a final step in a grieving process that's consumed him for a year and a half. The last thing he expects is to be swept into danger . . . or into the guarded orbit of a man like Michael.

When the threat follows them back home to Seattle, survival means trust—and what began as a single violent incident spirals into something deeper: secret files, hidden agendas, and a classified operation known only as Project Asphodel.

As the danger escalates, so does their connection—raw, unexpected, and impossible to ignore. Sometimes what happens in Tahiti doesn't stay there. Sometimes, it follows you home.
