Summary

"Arise, Awake, and Stop Not Till the Goal is Reached."

Swami Vivekananda was the spiritual bridge between East and West, a visionary who transformed ancient Vedic wisdom into a practical blueprint for modern living. This comprehensive collection brings together his legendary speeches, letters, poetry, and deep philosophical treatises. It serves as a clarion call to recognize the innate divinity within every human being and to manifest that strength through service and self-mastery.

A Legacy of Strength and Universal Harmony: Vivekananda's teachings move beyond the temple and into the heart of daily life, emphasizing that true religion is the realization of the soul. From his groundbreaking addresses at the Parliament of the World's Religions to his "Man-Making" education, his work is designed to build character, willpower, and an "iron" resolve. Whether through the science of meditation or the path of selfless action, these works offer a timeless map for anyone seeking to understand the nature of the self and the unity of all existence.

Vivekananda's words continue to inspire leaders, scientists, and seekers alike. His message is one of courage, rationality, and boundless hope. This volume is an essential cornerstone for any library of Eastern philosophy, comparative religion, and personal transformation.

Despite the popular theology of our day, Christians should not expect to get out of experiencing the tribulation or the end times. Nowhere in the Bible does the Lord promise us this, say Michael Brown and Craig Keener, two leading, acclaimed Bible scholars. In fact, they say, Jesus promises us tribulation in this world. Yet this is no reason to fear. In this fascinating, accessible, and personal book, Brown and Keener walk you through what the Bible really says about the rapture, the tribulation, and the end times. What they find will leave you full of hope. God's wrath is not poured out on His people, and He will shield us from it--as he shielded Israel in Egypt during the ten plagues. So instead of taking comfort in what God hasn't promised, take comfort in the words of Jesus: He has overcome the world, and we live in his victory.

In the 19th century, a school of thought and philosophy arose in the United States that was so powerful it changed the landscapes of religion, health and prosperity. The effects of the New Thought movement continue today and can be seen in how we now view our relationship with God, the universe, and ourselves. The New Thought movement has been termed a spiritual or metaphysical movement and a philosophical movement. It is the science of the mind teaching us how to use, will power, intent, affirmations, and visualization in order to manifest our visions in our lives today.
Florence Scovel Shinn was a major influence and teacher in the New Thought movement. Shinn writes, "A successful man is always asked--"What is the secret of your success?" People never ask a man who is a failure, "What is the secret of your failure?" It is quite easy to see, and they are not interested. People all want to know how to open the secret door of success."
Shinn teaches us how the Power of the Spoken Word recreates our minds and thus our ability to manifest our thoughts in the world. What if we could speak the correct words in the correct way to reprogram our mind and will? What if we could use our focused mind and intention to bring about situations and conditions that lead to health and prosperity? The Power of the Spoken Word is the tool to bring your wishes into existence.

An accessible, balanced chronicle of how the Israel-Palestine conflict originated and developed over the past century. The Shortest History books deliver thousands of years of history in one riveting, fast-paced listen.

The ongoing struggle between Israel and Palestine is one of the most bitter conflicts in history, with profound global consequences. In this book, Middle East expert Michael Scott-Baumann succinctly describes its origins and charts its evolution from civil war to the present day. Each chapter offers a lucid explanation of the politics and ends with personal testimony from Palestinians and Israelis whose lives have been impacted by the dispute.

While presenting competing interpretations, Scott-Baumann examines the key flashpoints, including the early role of the British, the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, the Six Day War of 1967, and the Trump administration's peace plan, pitched as "the deal of the century," in 2020. He delineates both the nature of Israeli control over the Palestinian territories and Palestinian resistance—going to the heart of the clashes in recent decades. The result is an indispensable history, including a timeline, glossary, and analysis of why efforts to restore peace have continually failed and what it will take to succeed.

After a permanent injury to his leg, Carlton Marsh leaves his federal position to work security. His first assignment is protecting paranoid author and illustrator Mara Shore, pen-name for Leah Beach. He will do his best to keep her safe from people trying to find the location of the mule she modeled one of her characters after. The cane he walks with becomes an asset to use for her protection.
The criminals threaten Leah for information about a mule her rescue ranch acquired, malnourished and in poor health. She refuses to give them what they want, thinking they should be reported to cruelty to animals. Sylvester is an Appaloosa mule with easily recognizable spots. When Carlton sees the drawing of the mule with spots, he makes an unhappy connection to the recent past. During the last federal case Carlton worked, the same spotted mule ran him over, reinjuring an old wound. He is angry his boss assigned him to the case involving the same animal.
Leah's past includes a kidnapping, and makes it difficult to trust others, especially men. She leads a solitary lifestyle, hiding from fame and people in general. Her love of mules is all she's needed up until now.  When she is threatened, all she wants to do is end her book tour and go home. Carlton proves he can provide protection. When they decide to investigate the reason behind the threats, danger will fill their path. Once again, Leah will have to deal with betrayal and kidnapping. With Carlton at her side, will she be able to overcome her past fears?

A Biblical Theology of the Royal Priesthood from Genesis to Revelation “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” ―1 Peter 2:9 From Genesis to Revelation, the theme of the royal priesthood runs through the biblical story from the garden of Eden through the priesthood of Israel to Jesus Christ―the true and better high priest. It culminates with the creation of God’s new covenant people, called out of the nations to be his priests to the nations. In this concise treatment, David Schrock traces this theme of priesthood throughout the Bible and displays to readers how Jesus, the great high priest, informs the worship, discipleship, and evangelism of the church.
