ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK 
"Gathering Blue" by Lois Lowry tells the story of Kira, a young orphan with a twisted leg, who is taken to live in the Council Edifice after her mother's death. Kira is expected to use her weaving talents to serve the powerful Guardians.
