Sinopsis

'I seen you looking at me. Like that. You gonna deny it? Go on. I swear down, Mark – deny it.'
It's Year 10's first day back at school. Mark is new and too scared to make friends. Darren is out of control and too scary to make friends. The two of them need each other – but neither would ever admit it.
Worlds apart, but more similar than they realise, the pair form a complex and manipulative relationship. And before they know it, they're embarking on a dangerous experiment that will alter the course of their lives.
Sophie Swithinbank's play Bacon is an unflinching and unexpectedly humorous look at masculinity, sexuality and power, through the dizzying lens of youth.
The play was first produced at the Finborough Theatre, London, in 2022, directed by Matthew Iliffe, before touring in 2023 to Riverside Studios, London; Summerhall, as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; and Bristol Old Vic. First developed on the Soho Theatre Writers' Lab, Bacon won the 2018 Tony Craze Award, three Off-West End Awards (Best Director and two Best Performance in a Play awards), and the Peggy Ramsay Foundation and Film 4 Award for 2023.

"The Odyssey" is an ancient Greek epic poem traditionally attributed to Homer, dating back to the 8th century BCE. It is the sequel to "The Iliad" and focuses on the hero Odysseus's long journey home to Ithaca after the fall of Troy. Along the way, he encounters mythical creatures, gods, and goddesses, and undergoes numerous trials and adventures. The epic also follows his wife Penelope and son Telemachus as they contend with suitors who have invaded their home during Odysseus's absence. "The Odyssey" explores themes of heroism, homecoming, loyalty, and the human condition.

Part of Deirdre Kinahan's trilogy of landmark plays commemorating seven years of warfare in Ireland, Wild Sky explores the extraordinary energy and complexity of events in Ireland in the lead up to the Easter Rising of 1916.
Wild Sky is a story of interlocking lives: of the politicised Josie Dunne, and of Tom Farrell, who is driven only by his love for her. As the Rising plays out, there are unforeseen consequences for everyone involved...
The play was first staged at Rossnaree House, Slane, Co. Meath, in February 2016, transferring to Bewley's Café Theatre, Dublin, later that month.
Deirdre Kinahan's Raging trilogy tells powerful stories drawing on a tumultuous period of conflict in Irish history, from the 1916 Easter Rising to the Civil War which began in 1922. Each of the three plays – Wild Sky, Embargo and Outrage – was first performed a century after the event which it depicts, and they were commissioned and performed by companies including Fishamble: The New Play Company, Meath County Council Arts Office, Dublin Port Company and Iarnród Éireann.
Together, they challenge the historical narrative, mixing true-life testimonies with powerful drama to create a theatrical hurricane of empathy, action and truth.
'A soaringly touching piece, taking the tiny canvas of a love story between a boy and girl and giving it the compass of inevitable, pre-destined loneliness and loss... searing, beauteous simplicity' - Independent.ie

More Than Weeds, the debut poetry collection by L. Kiew, explores the language of migration and how it is used in relation to plant and animal species, as well as peoples. These knowledgeable and verdant poems draw deeply on botanical and ecological detail and reveal secret histories thriving in the gaps between definitions; here are precious seedlings, unforced flowers, tongues of leaves, tangled roots and rhizomes.
With roots in decolonialising botany and horticulture movements, and influenced by the impact of the climate crisis and regenerative gardening practices, Kiew's poetry is alive and thronging with the interconnected nature of things – and the formative forces of nurture, family, food, refuge and love. Human and plant voices speak for themselves of experiences of belonging and displacement, as well as encounters with violence. These vivid poems that ask us to scrutinise what is really contained or constrained by demarcations – whether those of weed or wildflower, or of borders and hostile environments.
