Summary

Pulsars, rapidly rotating neutron stars, are cosmic beacons that emit electromagnetic radiation, offering insights into extreme physics and the very fabric of spacetime. Pulsar Phenomena explores these celestial objects, emphasizing their role as invaluable probes of fundamental physics and cosmology. Their predictable pulsations enable precise measurements, facilitating tests of general relativity and searches for gravitational waves. The book presents a comprehensive overview of pulsar formation, structure, and emission mechanisms, highlighting their significance in understanding the universe's most enigmatic phenomena.

The book progresses from foundational concepts of stellar evolution and electromagnetism to detailed explanations of pulsar emission mechanisms and their diverse types, such as radio, X-ray, and millisecond pulsars. It then delves into their applications in astrophysics, focusing on testing general relativity and detecting gravitational waves. A unique aspect of pulsars is their extreme density and magnetism, allowing scientists to test the limits of physical theories.

The book’s structure guides readers through a comprehensive understanding, supported by observational data from various telescopes and observatories, offering a holistic view of these objects’ role in astrophysics.

Most people aspire to become property owners and view real estate investments as an important way to build wealth and security. Mortgages are the norm. But does this system truly serve the well-being of either the economy or the individual? Martin Adams shares a view that profiting from land ownership causes social and cultural decline as well as environmental devastation. He introduces a radically new economic model that points to a more fair and abundant reality for everyone. He says this about mortgages, “As long as it remains an ongoing reality for the majority of human beings to have to pay other human beings for the land that they’re standing on, the economic system will forever cause wealth inequality at a core level.” Tune into this dynamic dialogue in order to fully understand his vision of a more equitable economic system that takes banks out of the picture and puts community in the center of economic of wealth and prosperity. Clinical pharmacology is a vital field of medicine that bridges the gap between pharmacology and patient care. It encompasses the study of drugs, their effects on the human body, and how they are used in clinical settings to treat diseases and manage health conditions. This discipline is crucial in ensuring that medications are used effectively, safely, and appropriately across diverse patient populations.
At its core, clinical pharmacology focuses on understanding the pharmacokinetics (how the body absorbs, distributes, metabolizes, and excretes drugs) and pharmacodynamics (how drugs exert their effects on the body) of various substances. It also explores the therapeutic effects of drugs, including their potential side effects, interactions with other medications, and the individual variability in response to drugs. These insights are pivotal for designing safe and personalized treatment regimens.
The role of clinical pharmacology extends to drug development, where it plays a key part in testing new medications for efficacy and safety through clinical trials. This process ensures that drugs meet regulatory standards before reaching the market. Additionally, clinical pharmacology contributes to post-marketing surveillance, monitoring the long-term effects of drugs once they are widely used in the population.

Evolution Is Wrong - A Radical...

A Fascinating Exploration on Why the Darwinists’ Theory No Longer Explains EverythingThere was once a set of ideas called the theory of evolution, conceived by clever people and confirmed by countless scientists. Then people discovered the electron microscope. This made it possible to make the molecules within the cell visible, and suddenly questions about evolution arose that were not possible before. Which force actually bundles the atoms in the right order? What moves the molecular chains into the correct position? How did the first living unit within the cell actually come about? How does inheritance work, how does information pass on to the next generation? Did humans descend only and exclusively from primates—as Charles Darwin and countless other great minds assumed—or did additional “engines” intervene in evolution? Today it is clear: countless questions can no longer be answered with the previous theory of evolution. There is a form of life called “Blob” (Physarum polycephalum). The “thing” has neither eyes nor ears, neither a mouth nor a nose or even a brain. Nevertheless, it takes in food, overcomes obstacles by the shortest route and exchanges information with other “blobs.” The “blob” contradicts any evolutionary thought that one develops from the other. Or the “gastric-brooding frogs” (Rheobatrachus) found in Australia. They hatch their young in the stomach. Impossible in a slow, evolutionary process. Everywhere there are characteristics of animals that do not want to fit into the theory of evolution anywhere. And man? Are we really the most adapted life-form on this planet? Today, more and more scientists who contradict the previous theory of evolution speak out. The theory fits the changes within the species, but it can no longer be reconciled with the inner workings of the cell. Some other influence that has so far escaped us is affecting evolution. It is called “Intelligent Design.” Intelligent planning is suspected behind this. Anyone or anything—a spirit of the universe? Aliens?—could be behind this planning. Erich von Däniken uses countless examples to demonstrate the impossibility of the previous evolutionary idea. He quotes scientists who argue against the previous teaching, but also those who defend it. Unfortunately, established science still refuses to look at discrepancies and holes in the theory of evolution, even though it is quite obvious that there is more going on with regard to the development of all species, as well as human culture, than could be explained by the theory of evolution alone.
