Summary

Oxygen Cycle explores the vital processes that govern the presence and cycling of oxygen on Earth, emphasizing its critical role in sustaining life. This book uniquely examines the interconnectedness of the atmospheric oxygen cycle, biogenic oxygen production (primarily through photosynthesis), and oxygen's role in biological processes like respiration. Disruptions to this cycle can lead to significant consequences, affecting air quality and climate regulation, highlighting the importance of understanding this delicate balance.

The book progresses from introducing oxygen's fundamental properties to detailing the processes driving its production, especially photosynthesis in plants. It then examines oxygen consumption through respiration and other processes. A significant portion is dedicated to factors influencing the cycle, such as deforestation and climate change.

By adopting a systems-thinking approach and using data from atmospheric monitoring and ecological studies, Oxygen Cycle provides a comprehensive overview, making it valuable for students, environmental professionals, and anyone interested in environmental sustainability.

Several years ago I became interested in the ideas of real time travel and dimensional travel. I’ve been trained in science and modern physics as well as engineering so I knew that modern theories of our physical world did not include the possibilities that time or dimensional travel existed.
As I did my research on stories of people who had travelled through time or additional dimensions there were many very credible stories. These stories eventually led me to conclude that time or dimensional travel through portals or veils does exist and some persons have experienced it.
On a book I wrote about the Tuatha Da Dannon who were the forerunners of elves, the Druids, and more there were stories that they originated in a different dimension called the Otherworld. And there were some interesting stories of humans who had traveled to the Otherworld and back.
It also turns out that the more one studies these subjects the more historical stories there are of portal, dimensional, and time travel experiences people have had.
This book then is a detailed review and exploration of portals around the world. Some of which are very plausible and others just might exist. Also could these portals be used today?
There are also lots of stories of individuals travelling through time and dimensional portals.
There are lots of interesting questions on this subject and we are just starting to learn the answers.

Buzz, buzz, buzz. A fascinating and beautifully written explanation of the life of the honey bee. Maeterlinck, who won the Noble Prize for Literature, wrote a more scholarly work called The Life of the Bee but then rewrote it in simpler terms so that children could appreciate what goes in a hive. The book describes in simple language the inner workings of a hive from its beginning with a swarm to the fully functional hive with thousands of workers, drones and a queen busily building, repairing and gathering. WITH A FOREWORD BY SIDDHARTHA MUKHERJEE A renowned cardiologist and Harvard professor spells out the future digital shift of medicine — and how it will impact the lives not only of patients and health care professionals but of all humans. Future care is virtual care: sensor-aided, digitally enabled, and powered by predictive analytics. Like most facets of modern life, human organs, too, are being digitally monitored. Sensors are well on their way to helping us proactively capture the information needed to predict and prevent disease. Paired with the medical world’s growing emphasis on wellness and prevention, the digital revolution will help us effectively monitor and address the chronic diseases that have been the Achilles’ heel of the health care system to date. This large-scale transition is not only going to reshape the patient-physician relationship but also dramatically change how hospitals and the business of medicine operate. Dr. Singh explores the upswell of virtual care, the evolving role of sensors, and the impact of artificial intelligence in medicine and health care through cutting-edge science, big idea projections, and patient stories. Using anecdotes from his own COVID-19 illness and medical practice, Dr. Singh shows that the success of the digital revolution in medicine is dependent on our ability to understand and adapt to this changing landscape. Future Care provides fascinating insights into how health care can become sensible, affordable, and practical and why everyone needs to become a part of the solution. It is an important and timely contribution to the ongoing and increasingly urgent conversation about medicine, technology, and health care.
