Summary

Marcus Kerr is a small-town werewolf without a mate. He’s not against the idea of a woman in his life, but now that he’s older, he’s come to accept there mightn’t be a mate for him.

Until today.

Now Marcus is confused. He can scent his fated mate, but finding her is another problem.

Ria Hunter is a feline shifter hiding in plain sight. She’s an innocent but not so naive that she doesn’t understand that danger could swallow her whole if she ever relaxes her guard. A winter storm throws Ria in Marcus’s path, but the journey to happy-ever-after is not smooth sailing for this age-gap pair of lovers. It will take a little seduction and honesty before Ria says yes to the wolf.

    He didn't pull the trigger.
He just happened to be holding the gun.
When a small-time fixer is found dead and the wrong man is left standing over the body, the city is quick to decide who's guilty. Framed for murder and abandoned by the law, he's forced underground—into cheap rooms, darker alleys, and a web of corruption that reaches from backroom lawyers to the highest offices in town.
As the truth begins to surface, survival means becoming dangerous. Allies lie. Power closes ranks. And clearing his name may cost more than losing it ever did.
A grim, fast-paced pulp noir, this is a story of betrayal, political rot, and the price of truth—where justice is negotiated, innocence is irrelevant, and walking away alive is the only victory that counts.

In 1605, King James I sat on the thrones of England and Scotland. A group of men, led by Robert Catesby, planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London to kill King James, Queen Anne, their children, and all the lords of England. The plotters were Catholics in a time when, at best, Catholics were fined into poverty, and at worst, they were burned at the stake.

William Cranmore is one of those men. Lark Alleyne, who started his working life at court, has been recruited as a spy and is put under the direction of Cranmore, who is to teach him the sword as well as the craft of spying. During the course of their work, Cranmore, a man who has never loved anyone, falls deeply in love with the sweet natured, overtly loving younger man.

Can William and Lark foil the Gunpowder Plot before the king and his family are murdered?
