Summary

What are your intentions to understand your partner? Are you sure you understand a man or a woman in your love relationship? Isn't it nice for you, ladies, to have an interesting conversation with a man and thus make life more precious, more lively? Wouldn't you like to understand a man or a woman with whom you are in a loving relationship, or with whom you would like to be in a relationship? Is it possible that your choice of attitude as well as your choice of intention are the causes? And now, what are your feelings that initiate these future intentions? Is it love or fear ? How to interest a man in your intentions? What does it mean to understand, to learn, to know? Now you ? If you are attentive and receptive, then I would like to show you a new point of view that could lead you to perceive a completely different observation and reflection concerning your relationship with a man. But if you are closed off and convinced that you know men, then why go on and conform to what you already know? It's your freedom of choice.

“A work of art. In each of the pages, you will feel the flow of a powerful energy which will murmur to each of your cells that it is time to come out of hiding, to open the windows, to breathe freely, to dress colorfully… to fly.”—Laura Esquivel, author of Like Water for Chocolate
A fable for all ages about a Mexican-American girl who transforms into a monarch butterfly and undertakes the great migration to Mexico, Monarca braids together the values of heritage, ecology, and personal transformation.
On her thirteenth birthday, Inés receives a mysterious necklace from her abuela in Mexico that turns her into a monarch butterfly—the fulfilment of a prophecy linking Inés’ destiny to her family’s legacy and the butterflies’ survival.
The adventure continues as Inés joins the monarchs on their long journey south to the butterfly sanctuary in Mexico—an odyssey that has become increasingly perilous due to human activity. Together, the swarm travels from the northeast to the swamps of Louisiana to the pine-filled mountain tops of the western Sierra Madre, finally alighting at the Sierra Chincua sanctuary. On this wondrous journey in the vein of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and The Little Prince, Inés discovers the connections between all living beings, and the urgent need to protect the monarchs' migration and habitats.
Divided into four chapters to mirror the four stages in a monarch’s life—egg, larva, pupa and butterfly—Monarca blends Mexican folklore, environmentalism, and magical realism in an enchanting novella. This book will inspire readers to protect and cherish the sacred natural world around them.

"Allan Quatermain" is an 1887 novel by H. Rider Haggard, featuring his recurring character Allan Quatermain. This adventure novel serves as the sequel to Haggard's earlier work, "King Solomon's Mines". Let's delve into the plot of this captivating tale: Background: Haggard wrote "Allan Quatermain" during his summer holiday in 1885, immediately after completing "King Solomon's Mines". The novel was first serialized in Longman's Magazine before being published as a complete work. Plot Summary: At the beginning of the book, Allan Quatermain mourns the loss of his only son and longs to return to the wilderness. He persuades his friends—Sir Henry Curtis, Captain John Good, and the Zulu chief Umslopogaas—to accompany him on an expedition. Their journey takes them from the east coast of Africa into the territory of the Maasai. While staying with a Scottish missionary named Mr. Mackenzie, they encounter a group of Maasai who kidnap Mr. Mackenzie's daughter. The Maasai demand a life as ransom, but instead, the group launches a surprise attack, defeating the Maasai. The adventurers then travel by canoe along an underground river to a sacred lake in the kingdom of Zu-Vendis. In Zu-Vendis, they encounter a warlike race of white-skinned people ruled by two sisters, Nyleptha and Sorais. Both sisters fall in love with Sir Henry Curtis, leading to a civil war. After a victorious battle, Queen Nyleptha becomes the ruler, while Quatermain dies from a wound sustained in the fight. Reception: "Allan Quatermain" is considered one of Haggard's most successful works. It exemplifies the lost-race novel genre, setting the stage for many subsequent works in this subgenre. In this thrilling adventure, Allan Quatermain's courage and loyalty are put to the test as he navigates treacherous lands and encounters powerful queens. "
