Candy MacCann, party animal! Said no one. Ever. Still, when one of Candy’s wealthiest classmates throws her annual Christmas party it’s just too good an invitation to pass up. Ivy’s guests are ready to paint the town red (and green!), and there’s sure to be gift-giving, egg-nogging, and a heated pool-party under the winter sky. The food?! Everyone knows the food at Ivy’s to-dos is to die for! And when a secretive band of armed strangers interrupts festivities, that outcome looms large for the girls of Waverleigh prep.
So, it’s not the party Candy wanted.
But she’s about to make the best of it.
Hard Candy is a bit like if Die Hard met 90210 at a Christmas party that went terribly sideways, when an entire prep-school class is taken hostage, leaving only 6 girls to save the day.

What is the price of justice? Everything. Bass Olson, a genius, out-of-work software designer, returns to Innocence, Arkansas, to be by his grandfather's deathbed. No one has been able to understand Old Zeke's final words, but Bass creates a program that can decipher them. Old Zeke wants his son's murderer caught and brought to justice. The fact that Daniel's death seventeen years prior was deemed accidental at the time is just the first of many complications. Gran Olson is a feisty retired MASH nurse whose ingenuity and devotion are well-known in Innocence. The night her husband dies, everything changes. Once she learns the truth of her son's murder, she dives into the case completely. With the help of Old Zeke's million-dollar insurance settlement offered as a reward, Gran and Bass begin gathering old clues. They soon find themselves confronting gangs, the KKK, family members who want more than a small piece of the money, and all sorts of characters comfortable with casual killing. In this world far from Innocence, Gran Olson will have to use all of her common sense and her faith to find the murderer and get herself and Bass out alive.

Anty Boisjoly is back with his reddest-of-herringed, twistiest-of-turned, locked-roomiest manor house mystery yet.
It’s a classic, manor house, mystery-within-a-locked-room-mystery for Anty Boisjoly when a death is foretold by a mystic that Anty’s sure is a charlatan. But when an impossible murder follows the foretelling, Anty and his old ally and nemesis Inspector Wittersham must sift the connivance, contrivance, misguidance, and faith in pseudoscience of the household and its haunted history before the killer strikes again.
Like all Anty Boisjoly locked-room puzzlers, Foreboding Foretelling at Ficklehouse Felling is a stand-alone farce for those who like a little crime with their comedy and vice-versa.
