Summary

In "The Poems of Sappho: An Interpretative Rendition into English," this collection presents a masterful reinterpretation of Sappho's ancient verses, encapsulating the intensity of her passion, the subtleties of her imagery, and the intricacies of her emotional landscapes. The book employs a lyrical and evocative English style that attempts to remain faithful to the original Greek's musicality and brevity, while contextualizing Sappho's life on the island of Lesbos during the 7th century BCE. This work invites readers into the vibrant world of one of the earliest and most celebrated poets in Western literature, allowing a deeper appreciation of her innovations in lyric poetry, including themes of love, beauty, and longing that resonate through the ages. Sappho, a prominent figure in the canon of ancient Greek literature, is renowned for her exploration of personal and emotional themes that challenge societal norms. Her life, marked by complexity and artistry, reflects her deep engagement with the human experience, particularly in the realm of female relationships. It is this rich cultural backdrop, alongside her pioneering role as a female poet, that informs the interpretative choices made in this rendition, illuminating her enduring influence in poetry. This interpretative rendition is essential for readers seeking to understand the nuances of Sappho's work within both historical and contemporary contexts. It is an invitation to connect with the timeless themes of love and loss in a fresh light, making it a valuable addition to any literary collection. Those passionate about poetry, feminism, and classical literature will find this work invigorating, offering profound insights and an accessible pathway to Sappho's brilliant, yet fragmented, legacy.

Wanted: A Way To Control My Jealousy So I Don't Get Sin-Binned
When my best friend goes on a date with a mutual acquaintance, I'm supposed to be happy for him, not so angry I want to start screaming.
Devon and I have been close ever since we were children, but I’ve never been possessive of him. Until now.
Seeing him with another man makes me want him in ways I’d never imagined wanting anyone before, and now all I can think about is having him in my arms. My jealousy is starting to get the better of me, both on and off the rugby pitch, and I can't stop losing control. And Devon has noticed.
Maybe it's time I come clean and tell him just how much I want him.
And hope he wants me too.

I'm just an ordinary guy . . . who feeds on sexual energy.

I never knew my dad. Mom said he was a nice enough guy, fun for a night, but she never did get his name. I didn't miss him, and my life is good.

Then a government agent shows up at my door and announces that I'm not really human. Dear old Dad was actually an incubus, a being that needs sexual energy to survive, and apparently that means I am too. Gotta be a scam, right?

Or so I think . . . until Agent Cutie changes into a canine (not a werewolf) in my living room and then eats half a dozen Christmas cookies while making orgasm sounds. Turns out, other species do exist.

On the plus side, being a stripper means that all my incubus needs are being met without me even trying. And now that I know the situation in my pants is normal for an incubus, I don't feel self-conscious . . . so a fling with Agent Mark is definitely on the table.

Between being sexy Santa at work, supplying a team of hellhounds with Christmas cookies, and learning what stamina in the bedroom really is, I'm discovering that my old life was kind of empty. Maybe I'm not such an ordinary guy after all.

Noah spends his nights drifting between North London pubs and music venues, and his days sleeping off hangovers in the stock room of the floundering record shop where he works. He tries not to think about what will happen when his NHS-allocated therapy hours run out and he's left alone with his mind again.

After years away, his favourite band Smiling Politely announce a last-minute set in a nearby venue and everything starts to shift. When the crowd turns violent, Noah runs into the street and meets Dylan, the charming local barman he's never had the courage to approach.

Pulled into a toxic and co-dependent relationship with Dylan and his brooding, enigmatic friend Fraser, Noah bounces distractedly between sweaty gigs and clubs, swapping beds and friends along the way. The upcoming Smiling Politely album is a beacon of hope for Noah who craves the connection he finds in their music yet lacks elsewhere, but he has to ask himself what he's willing to lose – friendships, dignity, even his sense of self – to just feel like he belongs.

The only goal Prince Syrius Fortune of Rosenhip had during his twin sister's "meet the suitors" ball, was to stay quiet and out of the way. His sister's event had been in the planning for five years, and he and his loving father had already agreed trying to seek a wedding contract for himself was not a good idea. Prince Syrius had quirks, and it wasn't as though he needed to open himself up to ridicule from someone else, especially a spouse he would have to get to know. The event was only a week, and being a lot smaller than his older brothers, Syrius was used to not being seen. Until someone saw him.
King Mintyn of Marinkaw had been a soldier since he was fifteen years old. He was not impressed to find out the one time of the year he was supposed to be meeting King Fortune to sign their Golden Straits agreement was apparently the one time his friend decided to have a huge event going on.
However, his aide told him he had been invited, and it was only one ball. Mintyn could enjoy some good food, network a while, and then leave the following morning once the treaty was signed. That was until he saw a young vision being hassled by an entitled duke. On learning the vision being hassled was his friend's youngest son, Mintyn decided to intervene. It was a nice thing to do. One shortened dance later as Prince Syrius walked away from him after he put his foot in his mouth, Mintyn told his aide to rejiggle his schedule. He had a spouse to woo.
This is one of those light stories that my muse weaves sometimes simply to make people smile. There are no deep and meaningful plot lines, just a bit fun between two men who look so unsuited for each other on the surface of things, but their pairing proves opposites do attract and stay together. It is in the same universe as the Infidelity Clause but is totally standalone. Watch for cameo appearances by a cupcake eating dragon, an episode of prince throwing, and potato cuffs.

Standalone MM Best Friends to Lovers Hockey Romance
Being in unrequited love with my best friend isn't easy, but that doesn't stop me from doing everything I can to ensure he's happy and always feels safe, especially when flashbacks, panic attacks, and mental lows are part of his everyday life.
I'm the only person he feels safe with.
So, when his ex starts spreading rumors about him, I'm quick to do everything I can to bat those rumors away. To protect him from the nastiness of it all.
Which means I almost kiss him.
    Almost.
Because I’m not the one who completes that kiss—he is.
I'm not sure what that kiss means for us, but I can't deny that I'm hopeful and silently begging for a chance to be with him.
Here's to hoping we didn't mess up the friendship that I know he needs.
