~~~~~ PG Excerpt ~~~~~
Jeremy feels bored and horny as he drives along the highway towards the Paul Bunyan Statue.
Ariana breathes a sigh of boredom. Her daddy is sitting beside her in the driver's seat—at least he has something to do, driving the car on their way to the Paul Bunyan Statue.
"Ooh, daddy, pull over!" Ariana suddenly exclaims, sounding excited.
"Huh?" Jeremy says, automatically slowing the car down. "What is it?"
"Arrowheads!" she announces, and when the car is pulled over she hops out, Jeremy putting the car into park and then following her.
He walks over to find his daughter looking around near the car. The road is empty for miles all around. It's just the two of them.
"I swear they were here!" she says, standing up, looking disappointed.
"Aw honey, I'm sure we'll find some. Don't worry," he says, and Ariana nods. She walks up to her daddy, resting her head against his chest. He puts his arms around her and give her a pat, reassuring her.
When Ariana pulls back, it's just to look up into her daddy's eyes. He's looking down at her. His heart begins beating fast, and so does hers. There's nobody else around for miles.
Jeremy can't believe how he's feeling right now. Ariana's looking up at him, those doe eyes just asking to be taken. He can feel a stirring in his pants already. Of course, that can't be what she really wants…can it?
"It's nice being with you during the day," Jeremy says to his daughter. "It sounds lame, but sometimes I get kind of lonely."
"Oh, well," Ariana says. "To be honest, coming home to see you is the best part of my day." She looks up into her daddy's eyes, and he's looking down into hers. "In fact, I…I can't wait to see you," she says.
    "Jealousy is but one road to the preordained," Hektor offered.
    "Are you a seer, now?" Alerio challenged.
    "No, sir. I'm a youth who worries about how you're being treated."
    "Colonel, we're all apprehensive about what fate their jealousy is driving you towards," Centurion Pelle added.
    "I've sworn a Tribune's Oath to a God and a General," Alerio informed them. He tugged the crested helmet down over his head before saying. "We can sit with bowls of camp stew and talk about our feelings later. Right now, I have a battle to win."
    Francie Vespertine has lived all her life in a supernatural town full of powerful witches, but her own magic is lackluster at best. The only place she fits in is the Magical Archives. Head librarian (and bookworm extraordinaire) might be a boring job . . . if it wasn't for the ghosts of fictional characters haunting the shelves.
    Between stopping Captain Ahab from wreaking havoc on aisle three and keeping her fussy feline familiar satisfied (he only eats wild-caught Pacific Salmon, thank you very much), Francie's established a comfortable routine—which is just how she likes it.
    Until a historian is found dead in the Non-Fiction section and Francie's life goes from cozy to mystery.
    Half the town saw Francie argue with the man only hours before he was murdered. The Werewolf Law Enforcement Brigade is eager to close the case, and with Francie as the prime suspect, she has to find the real killer or trade her beloved library for a jail cell.
    She's got a lot on her plate.
    Fortunately so does Kongressman Kittles. But maybe if Francie keeps his piled high with Lobster Thermidor, then he'll get off his silk pillow and lend a paw . . .
    Ed is a virgin. I didn’t know those existed – not at our age anyway. Maybe he was so drunk that he forgot all the times he’s had sex. I wish I could get that drunk.
    Mia and Ed have been best friends ever since they began teaching at the same school. Ed bakes cake for the staff, Mia eats the cakes. Ed can’t control his students, Mia sorts them out. Mia can’t work the photocopier, Ed shows her how.
    Mia’s love life might be chaotic but she’s totally devoted to her super-tidy, cat-owning, geeky but not bad-looking best friend. So, when Mia discovers Ed is still a virgin at twenty-eight, she decides to take matters into her own hands and teach him the skills he needs to seduce the pretty new maths teacher, Caitlin.
    It’s an education that involves panic-buying sex toys and buddy-watching porn, and when Ed graduates with an A+ for effort – and begins dating the perfect-on-paper Caitlin – Mia knows her work is done.
    But is Caitlin as sweet as she seems? And could Mia’s feelings for Ed be stronger than she realised?
    A fabulously feel-good and unmissable read for fans of rom-coms by Sophie Kinsella, Mhairi McFarlane and Beth O’Leary and anyone who’s seen and loved Sex Education, Teachers and When Harry Met Sally. If you’ve ever cringed at the memory of your first time, nursed a broken heart with wine and takeout, or fallen for a friend, you’ll love this hilariously funny, sexy, heart-warming story.
    Enrique Cortes nodded as he rode with Salazar. The two men rode their horses outside the church grounds. Cortes had rode with Salazar for quite some time since his youth, and was now a young man of barely 21. Admittedly, he did not like Salazar, or his methods to keep power. Cortes grew to manhood with a healthy respect of what Salazar was capable of. He only rode with him because he felt he had no choice. After all, Salazar was a wealthy man, and riding with him ensured Cortez of a somewhat decent life.
