Sinopsis

Wonderland.

Dark. Grimy. Unsavory.

It didn’t use to be this way. It used to be fun. It was downright enjoyable once upon a time, back when the Red Queen had her way.

When the Red Queen ran things, everybody was happy. Yeah, everybody was high as a kite all the time, seeing things that didn’t exist, but at least it was a gay old time.

Since the city council arrested the queen and outlawed White Rabbit, the drug she used to lace the water supply, was banned, all that has changed. Now, the NARCOs run Wonderland with an iron fist.

Alice Liddell has joined the NARCOs, the most powerful police force in the land, to keep drugs off the streets, especially White Rabbit.

But now, a new dealer has exploded onto the scene to claim the throne of Wonderland, and it threatens the fragile peace that has existed since the Red Queen’s imprisonment.

Can Alice find this new threat before it brings Wonderland to its knees? Find out in White Rabbit, the first book in the Wonderland Duology.

For as long as she could remember, Susannah Faulkner knew that even though she lived a dangerous and violent life, she would try her best to do some good in the world. She’s hunted down evil men before, but the one man that puts fear into her heart, the one man who could destroy everything she loves, is the one man she cannot track down. And worst of all, she doesn’t know what will happen when she finds him...or if he finds her first. Finn, an ex-soldier who served alongside Susannah’s father in Iraq, left Suzie with a simple choice a year ago: she could watch her family die one by one, or she could pursue him in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse. The stubborn and skillful Suzie knows just how dangerous he is and how far he will go to complete his vengeance. And so the hunt begins. Her journey takes her across the United States, from the mountains of Arizona to the river bluffs of Missouri to the streets of Atlanta. Along the way, she contends with both new and old friends and foes: the vulnerable Brooke, determined to escape her own nightmare; her brother Ethan and his new girlfriend, a reminder of a different and more peaceful life; her uncle Gavin and his connections to the criminal underworld; the street-smart Ajax, a shadowy ally of convenience; and an FBI agent who could be friend, foe, or potential lover. Suzie’s instincts have gotten her this far—but will they be enough against her evil equal?

Viv has been living alongside behindkind and fae in the Historic Renner Tea House in Melbourne for nearly a month now. In that time, she's been almost killed by friends and enemies alike, discovered that the human world is not the only world on the edges of her reality, and become a glorified babysitter for Luca, an unstable assassin of otherworldly creatures who has nightmares that are a bit too . . . real. She has uncovered mysteries and murderers—and discovered just a bit too much about herself into the bargain.

Now a small selkie has turned up on her windowsill, while a nightmare has begun stalking the floors of the Tea House, and Viv is certain the two things are connected. The selkie's human sponsor has disappeared, as has his pelt, and there's no help to be had from the selkies, who won't interfere with a traditional sojourn of one of their own on solid land.

Between her boss Jasper's dislike of doing anything he doesn't get paid for, and Luca's disinclination to do anything to help behindkind rather than humans, Viv is finding it hard to get to the bottom of the disappearance. But if she doesn't, the nightmare that has infiltrated the Tea House might burgeon into daylight reality, and the little selkie won't get his pelt back. And without his pelt, it's just a matter of time before Kyma crumbles away into dust . . .

In the land of Daoistan, freedom has arrived at last. The revolution liberated all, then enslaved everyone, and now it was liberating them again by allowing people to own credit cards. And a man with credit is a man who has the world at his fingertips, or at least a trip into town where the temptations are pretty much as they have always been, only more people can afford them.
ADAM’S FRANCHISE is a story about Adam and his Franchise. He is not quite sure what that means, but he is a modern man, embracing the economic miracle and taking up a gift shop franchise at a new hotel. There he will sell much the same things that he always sold: baskets, pots, cultural artefacts of various kinds, except at a modern price to foreigners, should they ever care to come to the hotel. The desert that he lives in is not the most beautiful of places, policed by Omar who has to learn how to get out of his hammock, fuelled by Castrol who just loves the smell of petrol and the visions it gives him, and terrorised by nomads and Adam’s volatile brothers-in-law. But if it ever rids itself of the last vestiges of barbarism, both pre-revolutionary and revolutionary, as epitomised by Adam’s indolent, lustful, embittered, rapacious, cynical, superstitious father, Saleem, then harmony – both spiritual and economic –might assert itself. Or maybe, just air-conditioning.
Daoistan exists everywhere, or has done at some time or other. And there have been many Adams.

A fun, provocative murder mystery about the making of a miniseries in the Hamptons during the summer of 2016 that involves today's streaming TV, #MeToo Hollywood, the rise of Donald Trump, Hamptons parties, the stealing of Native American lands, and a well-known New York newspaper.

Author Thomas Maier (Showtime's Masters of Sex, Paramount's Mafia Spies) offers the tale of Jack Denton, a down-on-his luck writer who is happy to see his novel—about the 1880s stealing of Montauk tribal lands by a loud, greedy tycoon—made into a TV series in the Hamptons. Denton is also covering the 2016 political rise of Donald Trump for a famous newspaper. But as he shuttles back and forth between his Manhattan newsroom and the on-location TV set in Montauk, Denton becomes a suspect in the disappearance of a young actress who was part of the same TV show.

Montauk to Manhattan is a story of murder, fame, sex, ambition, and the many political passions of our time—all rolled into one.

The untold love story of a Roman couple destined to shape an empire—before history wrote their names.
In the heart of ancient Rome, where marble statues guard their secrets and the Senate chambers echo with whispered plots, intrigue weaves through every corner. Kyra, a young medica, arrives in Rome for an arranged marriage to a man aligned with her father's enemy. Her journey leads her to the heart of a web of mystery and espionage, where shadows cling to every cobblestone, casting a Gothic pall over her steps. Amidst this maze of secrets, forbidden attractions, and dangerous ambitions, the Tower of Malatha beckons—a refuge or a trap.
As the sun sets over the Eternal City, the Tower of Malatha stands sentinel. Its stones harbour more than mere echoes; they cradle the fate of souls entwined by ambition, love, and treachery. Will they ascend to greatness or plunge into the abyss?
Note: This is Book 1 of a documentary historical quadrilogy with mystery, espionage, romance, and gothic elements, based on the author's extensive research, travel to ancient sites, and consultation of over two hundred ancient and contemporary scholarly sources. The author is a qualifying physician and holds a master's degree in classical archaeology, achieving full grades for their thesis.
Step into the world of Ancient Rome—a story of power, intrigue, and legacy. Please note: This audiobook is temporarily autonarrated due to time and budget constraints. As a medical student, I hope to personally narrate my books in the future. Thank you for supporting independent authors.
This story presents historical figures within their time period, grounded in research rather than religious themes. Suitable for general audiences.
