Summary

“His venom poisoned my soul.”

The monster I thought I left behind at high school has followed me to Lucent Academy. I feel him inside me, changing me, darkening my heart and mind.

I yearn for the hunt. The thrill of the kill. The taste of fresh blood.

But I won’t give in to those dark desires. I can’t. My friends are in danger.

Someone is stealing Auran blood. Someone who wants our kind dead.

And the only way I can save them is to fight the growing evil inside me, and once again embrace my Light before it’s too late.

One of the masterpieces of classical literature, the "Histories" describes how a small and quarrelsome band of Greek city states united to repel the might of the Persian empire. But while this epic struggle forms the core of his work, Herodotus' natural curiosity frequently gives rise to colorful digressions - a description of the natural wonders of Egypt; an account of European lake-dwellers; and far-fetched accounts of dog-headed men and gold-digging ants. With its kaleidoscopic blend of fact and legend, the "Histories" offers a compelling Greek view of the world of the fifth century BC.
BOOK 9: CALLIOPE: Mardonius, when Alexander upon his return made known to him the answer of the Athenians, forthwith broke up from Thessaly, and led his army with all speed against Athens; forcing the several nations through whose land he passed to furnish him with additional troops.

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
Elian has died thousands of times. From the Stone Age to the farthest edges of the 23rd century, he has tried every possible way to end his own existence—and failed. Fire, plague, war, drowning, even the heart of a volcano… none can hold him.
Condemned to regenerate endlessly, he walks through human history as both witness and prisoner, a man haunted not by death, but by its impossible absence.
From the ancient empires to the age of artificial suns, Elian Dead unfolds as an epic of immortality and despair—a philosophical and emotional journey across millennia, told in the quiet voice of a man who has lived too long to believe in endings.
A haunting blend of science fiction, myth, and existential reflection, Elian Dead explores what happens when eternity itself becomes the final punishment.

Confessions of Beau the Gardener – England Late 1970's
    Book 4 of 6 – The Colonel's Daughter

The summary of the ourth book in the series is as follows:
When Beau is hired to renovate the stables at Harrington Estate, he clashes immediately with Rebecca "Becks" Harrington—the Colonel’s tough, no-nonsense daughter who dismisses him as a superficial landscaper. Determined to prove his skill, Beau earns her grudging respect through meticulous work, bonding over shared values of craftsmanship and authenticity. Their professional tension blooms into romance during a storm-trapped afternoon in the hayloft, but the Colonel remains a formidable obstacle. Testing Beau’s character through a fencing duel, the retired military man ultimately approves when Beau demonstrates both skill and integrity. The project completes, but Beau’s real victory is winning Becks’ heart—and proving that beneath his polished exterior lies the substance she truly values.
The initial opening credit music is “Boy, you've got it”, which does run to approximately 3 minutes plus and the “customer” is hungry for his presence. The closing music, “Same time next week, ends the story with a cheerful optimism, I am coming back don't worry absence makes the heart grow fonder and release then is so much sweeter.
The story and music itself runs to just over 46 minutes and is narrated in my own voice.
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come
