Summary

As a vampire, Canan Longblood has been around for long time. He's fallen in love and watched the men he loved die, time after time, never finding one who wants to go that long, eternal distance with him. When he returns to Baltimore on the advice of the man who gave him Evening Life, Canan hopes to find healing. Instead what he finds is a man so full of pain and laughter that Canan knows he must meet him.
Stafford Savoy has lost many people -- his father, his mother, the man he loved. At forty, he's determined to no longer pursue online dating, and swears the only way he'll fall in love again is the old-fashioned way, if chance and passion bring a man into his life. So when Canan Longblood comes knocking on Stafford's door, claiming to need a little help, there's only one thing Stafford can do -- invite the sexy man inside. But is an old-fashioned man really what Canan wants?
When ancient man and modern man collide, there's more than a little chemistry, but is it an explosion they both can stand?

Homography: mapping multiple perspectives of a single subject; words with the same form but different meanings (see gay, story); homosexual history approached through autobiography; projective transformation (from personal to political plane). Evans uses his own relationships—sexual and familial, chosen and biological—to explore queer heritage. In this collection you'll happen upon ancestors from antiquity to present day including Narcissus and Derek Jarman, as well as iconic venues like the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. There is imagery drawn from the natural world, and from to the underworlds of fetish and clubbing—a diversity echoed in forms concrete and classical. There is also shame, and there is trauma, but always leavened by fierce humour and hope for our future. This bold and beautiful third collection from Polari Prize longlisted poet Nathan Evans features poems published by Royal Society of Literature, Muswell Press, Broken Sleep and Fourteen Poems. It is edited by TS Eliot Prize winner Joelle Taylor and published for LGBTQIA+ History Month 2026.

Book 3 in the Misfit Shifters series and sequel to Thor
Reindeer shifter Donner intends to spend his precious time off before Christmas relaxing. That includes hanging out at a local watering hole when a tall, dark, and handsome shifter walks in. Just as he's figuring out how to hang onto Nate a little longer, he gets a call. Seems his brother stole a certain sleigh and Donner's tasked with bringing it back by Christmas Eve. The last thing he wants to do is chase after his wayward brother on his days off. The only bright side is that the shifter he didn't want to leave behind agrees to tag along.
Heartbroken, Nate leaves the Bluebird Valley Preserve for a much needed vacation only to land in the middle of karaoke night. What starts out as a casual hook up turns into a wild goose chase with the man who stirs emotions in Nate that he'd previously shut away. With nothing more pressing and unable to let Donner slip through his fingers, Nate agrees to follow wherever their crazy journey might lead. While he leaves the Bluebird Valley Preserve behind, he can't get the place out of his mind. Home is where the heart is, but can it be in two places at the same time?
Trust isn't Nate's strong suit, and he's long since given up on finding love. Yet, deep down, he knows Donner's special. Just how special remains to be seen.
