The next day the there really was a fire at the little boy's house and no matter how loud the little boy yelled the firemen would not respond and the house burned to the ground.

The monkey went into the demon's cave several times to rescue Xuanzang, but the demon just hid. The monkey found two plaques indicating that the demon was the adoptive daughter of King Li. So, the monkey went to Heaven to invite King Li and Nezha to subdue her. As it turned out, the demon was the Golden-Nosed Albino Rat Spirit.
