There is something about the number 3.
The Ancient Greeks believed 3 was the perfect number, and in China 3 has always been a lucky number, and they know a thing or two.
Most religions also have 3 this and 3 that and, of course, in these more modern times, three’s a crowd may be too many, except when it’s a ménage à trois. It seems good things usually come in threes.
Whatever history and culture says WE think 3, a hat-trick of stories, is a great number to explore themes and literary avenues that classic authors were so adept at creating.
From their pens to your your ears.

    Description:
Iris Sullivan has discovered the perfect proof of her husband's affair: a deep fingernail scratch on the collar of his shirt, a blatant provocation from his mistress. But in their world of wealth and power, evidence isn't enough. She signed a brutal prenup—the betrayer leaves with nothing.

Trapped in a gilded cage, Iris plays the perfect, unsuspecting wife while her husband, Julian, weaves a web of deception, orchestrating a public scandal to frame her for infidelity and leave her destitute. But he has underestimated the woman he vowed to love. Behind her tearful facade, Iris is already several moves ahead, masterminding a dangerous counterplot of her own.

This is no story of a victim. This is a tale of breathtaking revenge. How far will a wronged wife go to turn the tables, reclaim her fortune, and make her betrayers pay? For Iris Sullivan, the answer is simple: all the way.

"It's absolutely delightful, and I would recommend it to anyone who's a fan of Sarah Caudwell, or Agatha Christie, or anyone who loves really clever British murder mysteries set in the '20s." - Gillian Flynn, international bestselling author of Gone Girl.

After eight years in South Africa, Charles Knox returns to England a wealthy man, determined to put his past behind him. But when he is invited to Sissingham Hall, the Norfolk home of Sir Neville Strickland, he finds that the past is already waiting for him in the form of Rosamund, Sir Neville’s beautiful wife—and Charles’s former fiancée.

For Charles the weekend is a chance to re-establish his position in society, but from the very first evening tensions start to gather. Rosamund still attracts him more than he likes, Sir Neville is troubled, and every guest at Sissingham seems to be hiding something.

Then Sir Neville is found dead in his study. Was the culprit an outsider—or someone in the house? As suspicion begins to fall on one guest after another, Charles joins forces with the perceptive Angela Marchmont in an effort to solve the mystery. But as the investigation deepens, old affections and divided loyalties draw him into danger, and he soon realises that the truth may demand a terrible sacrifice.

A classic 1920s country-house murder mystery, perfect for fans of traditional British detective fiction.

A Limited Run is an incredibly gripping story, with a delicious edge of creepiness. I couldn't stop reading it—easily one of my favorites this year! Another masterpiece from McQuestion! - Freida McFadden, #1 Amazon Bestselling Author When billionaire Felix Worthington invites the five cast members of the TV show A Little Slice of Haven to recreate their roles twenty-five years later, they're initially skeptical. It's an unusual request, even for a self-professed superfan like Felix. For several of them, playing a member of the Barlow family in the small town of Haven in the 1940s was an experience best forgotten. Meri Wetzel, who played a loving wife and mother, has spent the last two decades avoiding her TV husband, Jeff. And the actors who played their children each harbor festering resentments of their own. But living in a recreated version of the town in a warehouse in Montana has its appeal, even knowing they'll be filmed with hidden cameras as they improvise with other actors playing the townspeople. And the clincher? Two million dollars for each of them, provided they stay all ten days and remain in character the entire time. One by one, they set aside their hesitations and agree to the terms. After all, with two million dollars they'd be set for life, and really, what could go wrong?

Don't miss the BRAND NEW psychological thriller from the author of the TOP 10 BESTSELLER The Sleepover. Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Claire McGowan and Lisa Jewell! 📚
She knows what she saw. But can she prove it? 👀
After my relationship breaks down, I agree to house-sit my brother Dexter's posh apartment whilst he’s out of the country. It will give me some much needed headspace.
Sitting on the balcony one sweltering summer's evening in the midst of a power cut, I'm given a secret window into the lives of the residents in the opposite building, and I see more than I should.
I'm drawn to a man in the penthouse and watch him closely and when a striking woman joins him on the balcony, I can’t tear my eyes away.
The following weekend a woman matching her exact description is reported missing. She’s not been seen since that fateful night. When I go to the police, the man in the penthouse has a cast-iron alibi and denies she was ever there...
I know what I saw and I can’t let it go. The deeper I dig, the more dangerous things become.
Someone is watching me too. Just how much can I trust my neighbours?
