Heaven is multiethnic. Are you ready for that?

The Bible tells us that the congregation gathered around God's heavenly throne will be "a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language," all singing the praises of the Lamb. God's intention has always been to delight for all eternity in a redeemed community of ethnic diversity.

But this diverse community shouldn't have to wait until eternity to begin! It can be a reality in our own local churches here and now. Patterned after a worship service, In Church as It Is in Heaven gives biblical warrant for such a community and shows how multiethnic churches provide a unique apologetic for the gospel. Along the way, the authors tell the story of their own church—a majority-white congregation which is being transformed into a family that reflects the diversity of heaven.

The multiethnic kingdom is not just a nice idea, or an abstract theory. It's a reality—one we can enter into today.

In an age of constant change and uncertainty, how can we remain calm, centered, and able to respond wisely?
In this 2026 interview with Justine Willis Toms, creativity coach and psychotherapist Eric Maisel introduces the practice of serene readiness—a mindset that blends inner tranquility with the nimbleness to act decisively. He offers practical tools for managing anxiety, maintaining focus, and living with purpose, showing how serenity can be cultivated not only in meditation, but in the midst of daily life. Serene readiness, Maisel explains, means being mentally and emotionally prepared for life’s surprises while staying anchored in one’s values and creative intentions. He invites us to take personal responsibility for meaning-making and to design a calm, purposeful “inner architecture” that nurtures courage, presence, and self-compassion.
Eric Maisel is a retired, licensed psychotherapist and an internationally respected coach specializing in creativity, existential wellness, and relationship coaching. His books include:
Night Brilliance: The Sleep Thinker's Guide to Powerful Problem-Solving (BTSL – Jim Dandy Publishing 2026)
Brave New Mind: The Art of Serene Readiness (BTSL- Jim Dandy Publishing 2025)

For decades, college has been the only respectable way to access the world of work, despite paralyzing tuition and a dire lack of practical skills that has left 40 percent of college graduates underemployed, unfulfilled, and struggling to repay student-loan debt. Fortunately, college is not America’s only option. In Apprentice Nation, education and workforce expert Ryan Craig explores how a modern apprenticeship system will allow students and job seekers to jumpstart their careers by learning while they earn—ultimately leading to greater economic opportunity, workforce diversity, and geographic mobility. Listeners will learn -The history behind America’s outdated college system. -Why apprenticeships are such an effective pathway to career opportunity. -Why America lags so far behind other countries when it comes to apprenticeship opportunities and what we can do to catch up. -Where students and job seekers can go to land an apprenticeship. With an easy-to-reference directory of US apprenticeship programs by industry and geography, Craig’s Apprentice Nation is an accessible blueprint for a country where young Americans of all backgrounds can launch careers in tech, healthcare, finance, and more—without losing four critical, career-building years and tens of thousands to college tuition and student loans. With just a few common-sense changes to education and workforce development, an apprentice nation will place the American Dream within reach—for everyone.

  • A Book About Books - Volume I of III - cover

A Book About Books - Volume I of...

    E. H. Bernstein

This book is Volume I of a three volume book plus accompanying website, www.bookaboutbooks.com, which adds to subjects already in the book or presents some books and subjects not contained in the books. The other volumes are available from the same booksellers as this volume. Note this 2024 publication date is a corrected version of the original version of this volume published in 2018.
A Book about Books discusses what nonfiction books and subjects the author believes are important to know about. This book tries to point to problems in how we live and to see if books have any answers. Even though the books are complete, the author will update the website periodically in the future.
    E. H. Bernstein is a former librarian turned author. The subtitle of the book describes the author's objective: "A handbook in three volumes to a choice of essential books, writers and subjects in order to understand the world we live in, about 'big questions' and possible answers, about books and writers that may improve people's lives, about neglected writers, and other books and subjects."
A Book about Books attempts to share what the author has learned from nearly 50 years of nonfiction reading and to provide the reader with samples of the most important authors and subjects from that reading.
While the book is based on research, it is intended to be a handbook or guide by trying to make that research understandable to the general reader and to students, and for teachers--by pointing to what the author believes is missing from today's education. A curriculum proposal for college teachers is on the website.
Note about how the volumes are related: each chapter is on a separate subject. So the chapters can be read individually, but the full message requires reading all the volumes. Volume I is important, but preliminary to the more important Volumes II and III. Note also that the book is not just about books, since other sources are also mentioned.
The author believes we should listen to many voices, so the book draws on many types of writers from different times and countries.
The author says: A contemporary writer once said that one of the purposes of writing is that books should be useful. I hope that my book will be of use.

Camilla - From Outcast to Queen...

For many years, Camilla was portrayed in a poor light, blamed by the public for the break-up of the marriage between Prince Charles and Lady Diana. Initially, Queen Elizabeth refused to see or speak to her, but, since the death of Prince Philip, Camilla had become one of the Queen's closest companions. Her confidence in Camilla and the transformation she had seen in Prince Charles since their wedding resulted in her choosing the first day of her Platinum Jubilee year to tell the world that she wanted Camilla to be Queen Consort, not the demeaning Princess Consort suggested in 2005.

Angela Levin uncovers Camilla's rocky journey to be accepted by the royal family and how she coped with her brutal portrayal in Netflix's The Crown. The public have witnessed her tremendous contribution to help those in need, especially during COVID. Levin has talked to many of Camilla's long-term friends, her staff, and executives from the numerous charities of which Camilla is patron. She reveals why Camilla concentrates on previously taboo subjects, such as domestic violence and rape. Most of all, Levin tells the story of how Camilla has changed from a fun-loving young woman to one of the senior royals' hardest workers. She has retained her mischievous sense of humor, becoming a role model for older women and an inspiration for younger ones.
