What do we mean by fear? Fear of what? There are various types of fear and we need not analyse every type. But we can see that fear comes into being when our comprehension of relationship is not complete. Relationship is not only between people but between ourselves and nature, between ourselves and property, between ourselves and ideas; as long as that relationship is not fully understood, there must be fear. Life is relationship. To be is to be related and without relationship there is no life. Nothing can exist in isolation; so long as the mind is seeking isolation, there must be fear. Fear is not an abstraction; it exists only in relation to something.

Lindley's groundbreaking book tells the true story of mis- and dis-information, why we've fallen so hard for them both, and how every one of us can fight back.
We’re living through the post-truth years, where it can feel almost impossible to separate fact from fiction in the information that we’re fed. But is it possible to escape the opinions created by false information and fake news, spread by our closest loved ones, friends, right up to world leaders?
    Yes. There is hope.
The second edition of The Future of Truth (and How to Get There) unmasks the tell-tale signs that manipulation leaves behind – even in a post-truth world. We build up an essential toolkit to stop, step back from and sidestep misinformation and disinformation wherever our timelines take us. Through neuroscience, conspiracy beliefs, journalism, politics and AI, we’ll take a journey to alt-reality and back to build a happier, healthier future of truth.

In September 1946, the London Gazette published a dispatch from Air Chief Marshal Sir Hugh C T Dowding that was titled simply: The Battle of Britain. Written and submitted to the Air Ministry in 1941, this document became the very framework for the accepted Battle of Britain narrative which has been established across the following eighty years. Set out by the leader of the "Few" himself, its authoritative tone could surely be considered a definitive outline of the battle, how it was fought and the eventual outcome. It even retrospectively set the dates for the commencement and conclusion of the campaign.

In this work, Andy Saunders takes a critical look at Dowding's dispatch and analyzes the facts and details contained in that important document. He also puts "flesh on the bones" of the matters that the former commander-in-chief of RAF Fighter Command outlines, adding intriguing historical detail and perspective to the 1946 publication. Additionally, Andy looks at the behind-the-scenes machinations at the highest levels of government and Air Ministry before the dispatch finally saw the light of day. As a historical document, Dowding's London Gazette dispatch is worthy of the critical analysis and factual expansion which the author provides in what is a uniquely different look at the Battle of Britain.
