Summary

The author has tried to give the most detailed answers to specific questions through his many years of experience of independent out-of-body explorations of the Ethereal World: how to die correctly? How to learn to accept your death in time? How the transformation of subtle bodies takes place during the postmortem transition?

This book, describing in the most detailed way the changing state of a person's Consciousness during the process called "dying" and his Soul's presence in various vibrations of the energies of the Astral, is also a kind of manual of religious therapy and eschatological psychosurgery, carried out through the most detailed texts of "Instructions" read by relatives for the dying ones or an already dead person in order to strengthen and awaken his Consciousness before the Transition to the Other World.

Among other things, this book can safely be classified as one of the most detailed travel guides to the many realms and spheres of the Ethereal World, which we commonly refer to as the "afterlife”.

Jean-Paul Sartre, a towering figure in 20th-century philosophy, is perhaps best known for his development of existentialism, a school of thought that emphasizes individual freedom, choice, and the creation of meaning in an otherwise indifferent universe. Sartre’s philosophy arises from the existentialist tradition but distinguishes itself through its rigorous approach to human freedom and responsibility. At the heart of Sartre's thought is the idea that human beings are condemned to be free, burdened with the constant task of making choices without any external justification or predetermined essence.
Born in Paris in 1905, Sartre’s intellectual journey was shaped by early encounters with phenomenology and existential philosophy, especially through the works of Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger. However, it was his engagement with phenomenology, along with his studies in literature and politics, that laid the groundwork for his later ideas. Sartre’s major philosophical work, Being and Nothingness (1943), is considered one of the central texts of existentialist thought, where he explores the nature of existence, consciousness, and freedom in profound detail.
Sartre’s existentialism diverges from traditional metaphysical perspectives by rejecting the notion of an intrinsic human nature or essence. For Sartre, existence precedes essence, meaning that individuals are not born with any predefined purpose or identity; instead, they must create their essence through their actions and choices. This concept places the responsibility for defining oneself squarely on the individual, leading to Sartre’s famous assertion that "man is nothing else but what he makes of himself."

  • Bootstrapped - Liberating Ourselves from the American Dream - cover

    Bootstrapped - Liberating...

An unsparing, incisive, yet ultimately hopeful look at how we can shed the American obsession with self-reliance that has made us less healthy, less secure, and less fulfilled
The promise that you can “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” is central to the story of the American Dream. It’s the belief that if you work hard and rely on your own resources, you will eventually succeed. However, time and again we have seen how this foundational myth, with its emphasis on individual determination, brittle self-sufficiency, and personal accomplishment, does not help us. Instead, as income inequality rises around us, we are left with shame and self-blame for our condition.
Acclaimed journalist Alissa Quart argues that at the heart of our suffering is a do-it-yourself ethos, the misplaced belief in our own independence and the conviction that we must rely on ourselves alone. Looking at a range of delusions and half solutions—from “grit” to the false Horatio Alger story to the rise of GoFundMe—Quart reveals how we have been steered away from robust social programs that would address the root causes of our problems. Meanwhile, the responsibility for survival has been shifted onto the backs of ordinary people, burdening generations with debt instead of providing the social safety net we so desperately need.
Insightful, sharply argued, and characterized by Quart’s lively writing and deep reporting, and for fans of Evicted and Nickel and Dimed, Bootstrapped is a powerful examination of what ails us at a societal level and a plan for how we can free ourselves from these self-defeating narratives.
