Summary

In this book the author tells us that the entire world around us is a single system, and the parts of which are in very close relationships and interconnections, and that the entire Universe is subject to unified rhythms and unified cycles. Some of these cycles began at the creation of the Worlds and determine the Evolution of the Universe as a whole. Others determine the course of geological processes that change the face of our planet and, in turn, also affect the development of all mankind, the emergence and collapse of terrestrial civilizations.

The nature of all these influences, both global and individual rhythms, on the objects of the World is determined by the laws of the Zodiac, whose symbolism is much deeper than many novice astrologers think. In addition, in each cycle we can distinguish twelve basic and twelve current phases or micro-cycles, the characteristics of which are also associated with the passage of the Soul along different qualities and with the zodiac symbolism.
This book, as well as all the other books by Oris, is intended for those readers who seriously, deeply and with a sincere desire want to understand on their own everything that relates to the problems of Life and Death, who see in their impending Death not the most terrible and dangerous enemy, but on the contrary, a reliable adviser and a friend.

With Oris's books, Death is transformed from a frightening adversary, from an unfortunate failure or fatal mistake in the Universe into one more, another Transfiguration, to which we have already been subjected more than once.

Being a Sanctuary - The Radical...

When news outlets reveal church scandals or we hear stories about people leaving the church, it can seem as though we are in a bit of a crisis as the Body of Christ. In Being a Sanctuary, Pricelis Perreaux-Dominguez—who has experienced abuse, trauma, and racism within the church—takes us on an honest, biblical, and reflective journey as she examines the state of the church and offers us a hopeful path forward.

Perreaux-Dominguez focuses on three aspects of God's vision for the church: that it would be sacred (Bible based), soft (trauma informed), and safe (justice centered). Each section of the book explores what these mean for the church using biblical teaching, practical instruction, and stories from her own experiences. She unpacks practical steps the body of Christ can take to realize this vision and cultivate a lifestyle of being a sanctuary, including repenting, pursuing sanctification, showing Christ's compassion, healing injustices, choosing unity over uniformity, and being advocates.

This book is for anyone ready to be both challenged and encouraged on how we, as the Body of Christ, can collectively return to God's foundational call to be radicals who choose the path of being sacred, soft, and safe—just like Jesus is.

Imbued with a sense of wonder, and a strong connection to the natural world, Laura Alary's books invite young readers to engage with the liturgical seasons of the church year. Breathe is a journey through Ascension, Pentecost, and Ordinary Time.

"The day of Pentecost is coming.

    The church is changing color.

The white and gold of Easter

will soon burst into flaming red,

    then cool to green."

So begins Breathe: A Child's Guide to Ascension, Pentecost, and the Growing Time.
Breathe explores children's questions: How can Jesus go away, yet promise to be with us always? Can we trust someone who comes and goes so mysteriously?

Moving beyond long ago and far away events, Breathe invites children to wonder about and watch for the presence and work of the Spirit here and now, in practices of prayer and mindfulness, and through acts of justice, generosity, and kindness. Slowly but surely, we discover that we are the body of Jesus now, his way of being in the world. And that whenever we choose the way of love, Jesus is there. Always.

"In this poetic, thoughtful text, Laura deftly interweaves biblical stories with subtle invitations for readers to consider how the gentle wind of the Holy Spirit might be at work in their lives today. The text is imaginative, insightful and thoroughly inspirational -- a must for every parent, pastor and children's minister."—Glenys Nellist, author of the Love Letters from God, and Snuggle Time Prayers.

Laura Alary writes in the warm, thoughtful style that has made her books so popular with families who want to encourage their children to think deeply and engage their spiritual imaginations. Breathe is the third book in the "Circle of Wonder: Liturgical Year Resource Set." The introduction to the KJV Bible revealed the thanks of the translators to "TO THE MOST HIGH AND MIGHTY PRINCE JAMES, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, KING OF GREAT BRITAIN, FRANCE, AND IRELAND". It is fitting to read, as it reminds contemporary readers of the transitory nature of all Bible translations. (Summary by Sam Stinson)
