Summary

Once upon a time, there was a story called "Ryo, Beyond the Badge" that will make you feel super happy because it's all about facing problems and learning about yourself. Once upon a time, there was a detective named Ryo. But one day, something sad happened and he couldn't be a detective anymore. His friends, Shiba and Rey, wanted to help him feel better, so they took him to a special place called the Kindhearted Sanctuary. It was a place where Ryo could get lots of love and support to make him feel happy again. At that special place, kids play games that help them learn to be good friends, talk to each other, and do things together as a team. Ryo learns super important lessons from Oliver and Tilly about how special he is and how to be kind to others. Ryo also finds out that doing fun activities helps him find new things that make him really excited! A person shouldn't be defined by their job or their grades. Instead, they should be defined by the things they're good at, the things that make them happy, and the love and support they get from their friends and community. The lesson of the story is super duper important: you shouldn't judge someone just by their job or grades, but by what they can do!

James Patterson has just created the most spine-tingling, creepy-crawling, giggle-producing kid’s detective club ever. That’s ever.    Living in the luxurious Arcanum building—with its interior balconies perfect for playing tag, an elevator like an iron birdcage, and quirky neighbors behind every apartment door—has always been fun and games for twelve-year-old Minerva Keen…until her neighbors start getting poisoned. Anyone could be next, and everyone is a suspect, including Minerva herself.   To clear her name and help the police crack the case, Minerva starts her own detective club. So what if it has only two other members, one being Minerva’s accident-prone daredevil brother and the other being the biggest and quietest kid in school, who happens to be afraid of his own shadow? Minerva knows that with her brainpower, the club’s sleuthing skills, and case files full of suspects, they can unmask the poisoner…hopefully before it’s too late.   This page-turning new mystery series is packed with thrills, chills, laughs, and unforgettable characters and will leave kids eager to join the best club around.
