Comedian Claudia Stavola understands we’re living in sensitive times and the word hate is controversial, so she doesn’t use it loosely. She only uses it for serious infractions like gender reveal parties, guys who wear shorts when it’s forty below, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina candle.
You’ll be thoroughly entertained and in awe of how Stavola’s raucous sarcasm mirrors your inner most thoughts in this hilarious collection of easy-to-read essays. With her witty and insightful observations, she’s like a modern-day George Carlin, except hairier. (Hey, she’s Italian. She was born with a mustache).
100 Things to Hate Before You Die is astute, honest, and laugh-out-loud funny. Claudia shares her aggravation over a range of topics from mundane things like Fakebook, crappy gift-givers, and ukuleles on talent show auditions, to more thought-provoking topics such as people with no shame, the need for a license to parent, and the death of Eddie Van Halen.
Delivered with razor-sharp force, Stavola’s hysterical and unique takes on everyday a**holes makes this not only a great read for comedy lovers, but a must-read.

"The Empathizer" is a provocative dystopian political satire that transports listeners to a fractured America after a second civil war. Based on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death," this limited audio series follows one man's harrowing journey when he returns to the progressive West Coast and becomes trapped as the deadly pandemic sweeps through the region.
When our protagonist, a Zionist Jew who defected to the eastern states after the war, returns to New California to bury his parents alongside his estranged sister Judith, he finds himself fleeing to the compound of Gravity Darker—a powerful rapper-turned-politician. Inside this seemingly secure fortress, seven color-coded rooms host an elaborate masquerade where the progressive elite party while the world outside succumbs to disease and chaos.
As our hero navigates through increasingly bizarre and decadent environments, he uncovers the dark truth behind Gravity's wealth and power: a horrifying experiment called the "Radical Empathizer" that harvests human brains to artificially create empathy. When the pandemic inevitably breaches the compound walls, the spectacular collapse of this utopian experiment reveals the hollow nature of performative empathy and privilege.
"The Empathizer" combines Gothic horror with political satire to create a thought-provoking commentary on our divided society, challenging listeners to examine their assumptions about empathy, privilege, and political ideology.
For listeners captivated by this world, the story will continue in a planned second season, drawing inspiration from Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."
