I'm the sister you don't want to meet in a dark alley.

An assassin for hire, I've got skills other people don't. Blame my magical heritage and a mother who gifted me a set of knives and my first revolver not long after my sixteenth birthday.

When a magical object transports me to a perilous jungle as part of a job interview, I have to admit I'm intrigued. So what if my future-seeing sister told me to avoid the stranger offering me employment. She also told me we'd end up lovers.

I can see why. The Warden—real name Bane—is all kinds of sexy and grumpy and massively cursed. He needs me to keep him alive during some kind of arcane event. If I do, then I get to choose a treasure. Oh, and save the world.

Me, a hero? Guess we'll see because I'm about to come face to face with more monsters than I knew existed. I'll be tested. Seduced. And, according to my sister, will most likely die.

The odds are against me, but now that I've met my match, I'm determined to win this fight—and his love.

    Contains mature themes.

Hedgewitch Katie Lightfoot is determined to solve a decidedly unsavory mystery in the newest installment of the New York Times bestselling Magical Bakery series.

Since Katie opened a busy bakery in Savannah serving up sweet treats—with a little spellwork on the side—she's always on the go. While Katie is on a run in the local marshland preserve to de-swamp her jumbled thoughts, she encounters the shocking sight of her friend, reporter, and druid Steve Dawes, standing over a dead body. The way the victim was killed suggests a magical ritual may have been involved.

It turns out that the deceased was a true crime podcaster who covered paranormal cases in Savannah. The situation gets stickier than a pecan bun when Katie discovers Steve knew the victim. Steve and Katie have had their differences in the past, but she has his back, so with the help of the ladies of the spellbook club, Katie will have to follow the trail of crumbs to the real killer . . .

    Pan and Noah's story continues...
For every problem Pan solves, he makes three more, but accidentally turning Noah–his only connection to magic and the man who has been helping him–into a selkie might be the worst. Now he needs to earn Noah’s trust, and Pan has no idea where to start. He’s a god; people are supposed to beg him for forgiveness and aid.
Then a group of drak start following him around, thinking that he’ll be able to help them recover their ability to breathe fire. The last thing anyone needs is shapeshifting fire-breathing cats. But when they offer their prayers, Pan can’t refuse.
Noah should have realized he couldn’t trust a word that fell off Pan’s tongue before kissing him. Now, he kind of needs him because there are no other living selkies, and he doesn’t know what to do. Not that he even wants to be a selkie, but the coat is now his, and only his. As much as he wants to run away from all of this, the mythos aren’t going anywhere, and helping Pan gives him something to do.
The trouble is, the more he is around the powerless god, the easier it becomes to forgive him because he really is trying to help his people, even if it is only so they will worship him again. At least this time, Noah understands Pan only cares about himself.
Or at least he thought he understood…
