Summary

The first French edition of Les Ursitory was published just after the Second World War. During the war Matéo suffered the horrors of the concentration camps, like many others in his village. This is why many years passed until the publication of this book, written at the end of the 1930s.

Matéo was part of the gypsy community, always on the move, at a time where not many knew how to read or write. And he knew this. As a narrator he had a great talent and he dared to write.
This first novel was rapidly followed by another two: Le Prix de la liberté and Savina. In November of 1961 Matéo had a spiritual experience which changed his life. This can be found in his later works. Matéo continued to be a communicator of the gypsy culture, and he toured thirty-three countries sharing the testimony of his encounter with God.

The second book in the Glorious Summer series from CP Ward, author of the Delightful Christmas series.
When worryingly-close-to-forty Jane Bennett wins a tent in an employee of the month competition, her best friend Annabel suggests they take the unremarkable prize and head for the Cornish countryside. Jane, unmarried, unheralded, and—in her own eyes at least—unimportant, can come up with no decent excuse.
After a series of mishaps, the two women find themselves at the charming but failing Tall Trees Lake Camping and Caravan Park, where the family-owned park’s errant son, Dean Stinton, has just returned from overseas, into the middle of a battle for the park’s survival against its predatory neighbour, Tall Trees Premier, run by his jilted ex-lover, Kelly Coldwinter.
As the battle between the two camping parks heats up, Jane, suffering from a crisis of identity while fighting off a growing attraction to Dean, finds herself caught in the middle.
Full of the humour and heartwarming joy that CP Ward’s fans have come to know and love, Summer at Tall Trees Lake will having you pining for the smell of barbeques, glorious sunsets, and the possibility of romance beneath the warm summer sun.

Moonlight dances across her bare skin, and a shooting star flies across the sky. And while the young woman’s eyes are open and facing upward, they no longer see anything…
Detective Madison Knight is about to get married when detectives from a neighboring city storm the wedding and arrest her fiancé, Troy Matthews. He’s being charged for the murder of his childhood friend Dylan Graham, recently shot to death in his home. But the motive dates back to a fateful night from twenty-four years ago when seventeen-year-old Emily Kane was raped and strangled at a beach party.
Police claim that Dylan had plans to expose Troy for the crime even though another friend was convicted for it and sent to prison for twenty-four years. With that friend recently released, Madison suspects that he may be framing Troy to take the fall, some sort of vengeance for not saving him from going to prison. But when he also turns up murdered, Troy again becomes the prime suspect.
With evidence mounting against him, Madison is determined to prove her fiancé is innocent, but what troubles her the most is that all of Troy’s friends from that time are being picked off one by one. That means Troy might be the killer’s next target, but it’s not just his life on the line when she discovers the twisted killer is stalking her.
This addictive heart-pounding crime thriller is perfect for fans of Angela Marsons, Lisa Regan, and Leslie Wolfe.
