There's something wrong with Olmeda's paranormals.

Turns out, it's not the first time this has happened in Olmeda, and all the leads point to an old local dark coven. Is a witch related to the past trying to get revenge on the city, or is there a new magical threat targeting those close to me?

Owning a witch shop might've started as my and grandma's dream, but its become so much more than that. I might not have huge power at my disposal, but I have Ian, my allies, gumption, and plenty of affirmations to back me up.

Whoever is causing all this mayhem better get ready, because I'm not letting my friends or my town down, even if it costs me my shop!

Simon has always been a good guy, a charmer. He's consistently employee of the month at his bougie restaurant job, neurotically tidy, and generally tries to do right by everyone. And his dark parts? He keeps those well-hidden. But when his best and only friend Josh moves out of their shared apartment, Simon's world starts to fall apart when his new roommate Massimo moves in. Because Massimo has brought something―or someone―with him. He might just turn out to be the roommate from hell . . .Strange things start to happen. Weird noises come from Massimo's room, smells of earth and spoiled meat drift through the halls, lights flicker, and Simon's nights fill with disturbing and alluring dreams. Meanwhile, across the city, murders are being committed, bodies torn apart from the inside. Massimo and whatever he's unleashed begin to awaken Simon's wild and exciting and horrifying inner self. Whatever this new friend is could be the end of Simon―or a completely new beginning. At once a visceral, unhinged, and comic novel about the roommate generation, He's the Devil is a tantalizing literary thriller exploring possession and obsession, friendship and betrayal. Tobi Coventry's debut is propulsive, funny, and touching, marking the arrival of a bold new literary imagination.

Mac is back. Framed for a murder he didn’t commit, Dewey “Mac” Mackenzie is a wanted man on a cattle drive heading west–as a chuckwagon cook. Though he’s never even boiled an egg, Mackenzie has a natural gift for cobbling together good trail drive grub.

Now, with two trail drives under his belt, Mackenzie has proven to be more than a good chuckwagon cook. He’s good at serving up justice, too–with a side of hot lead.

Mac Mackenzie has enough problems on his plate. He’s got bounty hunters on his tail, no one on his side, and no place to hide. Just when he thinks it can’t get any worse, he hears the rumbling of a cattle stampede–heading straight for his camp. Mac’s got two choices: Get trampled like a weed or saddle up and help get the herd under control. At first, the traildrivers ain’t too pleased to have a stranger help them out. But once they realize Mac’s not a rustler, they ask him to join the team. Mac takes them up on the offer–especially after he meets the cowgirl Colleen–and quickly impresses everyone with his cooking skills. There’s just a few more problems: Mac’s new employers might be the real rustlers. And Mac’s stepped out of the frying pan into the fire.

John Davys Beresford was born on 17th March 1873. His life was blighted by infantile paralysis which left him partially disabled.
After an education at Oundle school he trained to be an architect. However, he quickly decided that his life was to be centred on a literary career. His first offerings were in drama and as a journalist.
As well as being a book reviewer for the Manchester Guardian he contributed to New Statesman, The Spectator, Westminster Gazette, and the Theosophist magazine The Aryan Path.
His spiritual journey in early adulthood had claimed him as an agnostic, in defiance of his clergyman father. This view he later abandoned in preference to describing himself as a Theosophist and a pacifist.
As well as many novels, many themed with spiritual and philosophical elements. Beresford was also a gifted short story writer particularly across the science-fiction, horror and ghost genres.
All of these elements helped him to obtain a prominent place in Edwardian Literary London.
John Davys Beresford died on the 2nd February 1947. He was 73.
