The songs and poems in the book hearken back to a time before the DSM, while ridiculous recipes don’t offer assurance I’m going to make it. 
THIRTY has all the pieces of an adventure novel: how to fix things, unreal encounters, braving the unknown... yet seems to see everything the wrong way. The world it creates, the choices made, are at times absurd, but when you're in unfamiliar places and only talk to strangers, it all starts to makes sense.

The Revolution provided opportunities for ambitious and talented individuals like Napoleon to rise through the ranks, as the French military underwent significant reform.
During the Revolution, Napoleon’s loyalty to the revolutionary ideals of equality and fraternity became evident. In 1793, he gained recognition for his role in the Siege of Toulon, where he played a pivotal part in expelling the British from the French port city. His brilliance in artillery tactics and his ability to inspire his troops did not go unnoticed.
