Enjoy this short story by Mace Styx:
"Still, despite my mother’s warnings and the strange feelings that her less specific warnings gave me. I didn’t want to look like a coward in front of Andy and Mike, so instead of protesting or sharing what my mom had said. I instead clambered up the iron ladder, plonked myself down cross legged on the roof and prepared myself for the process by cracking open a preparatory beer. Andy, as always, was marvelously melodramatic.
He pulled out the board with an almost hushed reverence, clearing the space on the ground of the loose stones and bottle caps we had left on our previous visits. Laying a small black cloth onto the ground as a cushion, before placing the board gently on top of it. Mike and I shared a glance and a knowing smile as Andy produced the planchette and broke into an introductory speech that wouldn’t have been out of place in a Hammer horror movie.
He warned us that the Ouija board was a strange and mysterious object, that the spirits could be both temperamental and deceptive. That we might not get any responses at all and that while speaking to the dead might offer us great insight, they might also terrify us with the naked truth of their answers.
“Naked”? Mike echoed, his hormones jumping into action at the slightest suggestion of anything raunchy."
